You are not alone mate. I suspect there are many people that will face a very hard reality within the next couple of years. I analyse these things under the optics of history. I read a lot about what was happening in Europe during the 20's and 30's of last century. I recommend, a lot to learn from it. A Tesla investor here.

That's a big assumption! For me, Trump's effect on Tesla is a minor part of the reason I voted for him (actually, mostly AGAINST his opponent). From what I've seen, Harris supporters don't understand why people support Trump.... it sure isn't the reasons they claim online.... and that's all I have to say about that.

You buy an EV because it is a better car than ICE not because you get a tax credit, look at Sweden it is 2 years since they removed tax credit and we still increase EV year after year.

It won't be possible to remove the support for ICE cars and fossile fuel. Too much unemployment doing that. Government efficiency my ass. It's something between a compromise and a fantasy. But it might be interesting to see how it fails. This is the US trying to emulate the Chinese, and I don't think they are qualified to do that!

If all subsidies for vehicles were removed; it would be a fair field of mfg. However, I would like electric vehicles with 10 or more people (including driver) be subsidized for a few more years. Also large electric trucks F550 and larger be subsidized. While I'm thinking about it maybe some electric equipment could be subsidized? front loaders, excavators, bulldozers.

The Republican congress will easily vote to repeal the IRA, but the probably not have the votes to eliminate the subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. Eliminating the IRA may kill Tesla’s EV competition in the USA, but Tesla had little or no real competition in the USA to start with. If legacy automakers die with the elimination of the IRA, Tesla will have few or no automakers left to license FSD in the USA.

Taxpayers will bail out Ford and GM anyway, so why not let consumers benefit from the IRA. Sure, lower the qualifications income, but keep it to help BEV adoption across auto industry to help all mfrs.

Since Trump won the election, Hebert and co have hysterically pushed the stock price! It's very annoying when we know that those things motivating them are perhaps two years away, and have some uncertainty that should dampen the enthusiasm somewhat. It's a bad habit you have not to be clear that it's future stock prices, and not todays! My expectation is that we will have one serious dip, or crash, before the stock prices you push for are motivated. It's not helpful driving FOMO to the degree you do! It's like for those who bought Tesla at the top three years ago, and I don't like retail investors complaining about doing costly mistakes!

How does increasing the cost to the consumer encourage them to purchase an EV in a market that seems to be almost tapped out at it's current price point. Sales are falling. If tesla drops prices to compensate, then they lower profit margins. Their stated goal was widespread adoption of EVs . Just don't get it yet.

If Tesla lowers prices then why any rational person would ever buy an EV from another collapsing company which is both lower quality and more expensive, thats what they mean tsla will snatch market share so its beneficial as smaller players are outplayed

It would be a decade before tesla could manufacture in numbers to "replace" the others put out of business.?? And that's just the US market. It is probably unlikely that China and Europe would take it lying down.

I honestly think Elon Musk's XAI33x is the safest bet for long term hold, and will survive out of every other altcoins. It will get adopted in US, Ecuador, Asia, starting from Japan, and slowly spread out and gain. This is a winning coin, apart from all the technical greatness.
