Every time you guys get Eastman AND Laird on the channel it's always a treat. I like Dave here as a co-host because it really feels like he provides that fan perspective alongside the analytical maker perspective you both provide. It's really the whole package and that's not something you get anywhere else.

It's almost redundant to praise this issue because the Eastman and Laird run is phenomenal as a whole, but this issue in particular is an achivement in how many things it did right. It's simultaneously a satisfying new entry into the TMNT canon with new characters introduced, it's a genuinely funny homage to superhero classics (Rene's constant cape-related mishaps, Lord Simultaneous as a Kirby-esque entity wearing a mundane-looking watch) and it's a satisfying crossover with a completely different series. You guys just nailed it.

Another brilliant episode. Mr. Choe was hilarious wearing the time helmet the whole show! A total trooper. I seem to remember that Mr. Laird has the option to publish several issues of his own TMNT each year, outside of Viacom. Can you guys leverage him and Mr. Eastman to do a few original, old school TMNT stories? Even if we got one a year that would be amazing. And Mr. Choe is 100% correct, a Rugg/Piskor comic would be so cool! Do it!!!

I was in 7th grade when I first saw the original Turtles comics, and the combination of art style, b&w, the genre, the character design being more on the "cartoony" side, all inspired me to the realization that not all comics had to be Marvel or DC and that I could do it. Fast-forward to 2024 and I've worked in indy comics for over 20 years now and I've even self-published my own book. I owe a big debt of thanks to Peter and Kevin.

You guys really need to check out the 2003 TMNT cartoon. It's by far the most faithful incarnation to the comics along with the original movie.
