What Mr Sallah has done for Gambia is an indelible patriotism and courage for our country. In 1994 when the coup d'etat took place all political parties were band, media and constitution was suspended who stood up and refused and continue operating was PDOIS , who did civic education after 1994 coup d'etats - PDOIS, who was the architect of the coalition - PDOIS, who stood up and put down all plans to deal with impasse Sallah. Halifa should not have accepted this guy debate. What knowledge has Madi got to debate Halifa Sallah?

What a wonderful debate. I believe madi has points but presented them in a wrong way. Madi was also missing many points and at some point making noise. He also made reference to the law but doesn't understand the sections especially the may and shall section. Yes the coalition has failed the Gambian people but I believe halifa has all intentions to fulfil the agenda of the coalition, however there was no coalition after barrow assumed power and we can't blame him. Halifa won this debate 100%. He was articulate and presented his points better. He has a good understanding of the law as well.

With all due respect to Mr Halifa Sallah, he failed woefully in this debate. He has not responded to the substance, especially those raised in the beginning, he was very personal and kept accusing Mady of not knowing the constitution and misleading the public when he certainly is not an authority in law to assume that he knows the full constitution. I was dissapointed by the may/shall discussion where I believe Mady was right - the May on the part of the national assembly was a prerogative that it could take or not, nothing to do with the president having the option to come or not. The Shall for the vice president who appears in the assembly enforces him to respond to the questions. I really think Halifa was beating about the Bush in this debate and that was a bit against him. Two great citizens, thanks to you both and the public will learn from both of you.
