Many Indian apartments look charming in India, but don't translate well, in other countries... being there, too homogenized ethnic, alien..even seemingly staged for the effect. That would still be a look, of course. But not one everyone might feel comfortable with, on a daily basis. One might have a nice curry, frequently...but not daily. One would soon get homesick, for the familiar. But this apartment would be quite comfortable in Manhattan.... and still quite lovely. It's intent of homey and welcoming, intact.
