Hey Nina, Glad you had a good trip, though short and hectic. Yes, the area you were staying in has a very different vibe compared to the mid-town area which is way more touristy. That's what I love about NYC, how the vibe changes based on neighborhoods. You also got super lucky with the weather as it had cooled off quite a bit.
