Honestly, could we ask for any better players to wear those jerseys? So proud to have them on the team. I really feel like they've arrived, it took experience and growth to get them to this point - and they are ready. It's been amazing to watch them grow and excel. I want them to win a championship together, I want them to get their numbers retired together, I want them to be inducted into the Hall of Fame together; but more importantly, I want them to call/visit each other every Sunday when they retire and talk about this journey and what they achieved together, and marvel at the brotherly bond they formed. I adore Jaylen and Jayson. What a privilege to witness their growth.

@@morenogarcia6106 I don't know, the Celtics are in a good position to pay them what they deserve. I think they would be hard pressed to find a better situation - ownership, coaching, commitment to winning, etc. They are the superstars on the team and it is their team. If Jaylen makes All-NBA, they can super max his contract. JT will probably be the first to get a $300M contract. The grass isn't always greener. They got a good thing going.

Been watching the celtics since the mid 80's. Many great teams. This one right here especially with all the other good teams currently is a team of destiny. They know what needs to be done. Stay calm in the big moment = less turnovers. And Brad got them a floor general now with solid bench players. It’s always great proving people wrong… But I don’t think they should’ve ever been said! These two young men have been playing well together from the beginning… There is no ego here it’s just pure talent in the game of basketball! I’ve been watching the game for over 50 years, and the Celtics have had the greatest of the Great Playing for them… And most of those greats were humble in their game when they were playing. These two players follow in that tradition.

Jaylen Brown is better I know most people would pick Tatum and that’s because most people repeat what the media says but hardly anyone watches the games during the season from beginning to end Most of ya can’t keep ya eyes on the TV for more than 15 seconds without looking down and looking at ur phones People pick Tatum because supposedly he has more upside but out of brown and Tatum Yall tell me who has improve the most since being drafted in 2016 And 2017 It’s clearly brown who has improve the most since his rookie year Brown works hard very hard I love both But brown is the alpha Both of them compliment each other so much They shouldn’t break them up Neither would be as good without the other
@sloppysteaks58132 жыл бұрын
Brown may have improved the most but JT’s raw talent is largely untapped. He is averaging >30 ppg and still has at least 10 years left in him. He has also improved every single year. Tatum has scored at least 30 the last 5 games and 3 of which were at least 40. We are witnessing the birth of another NBA superstar. The ball is always going to JT in clutch moments.

I am amazed at the intricate and complicated rabbit holes that the media goes down! It's freaking BBall folks if these gents want to play together they can! They showed that!!! Now we need the intricate, even intimate knowledge of each other as teammates and soul brothers! We figured out how to get there now we need to figure out how to get back repeatedly! Then we can win it! It usually takes multiple trips! Raptors were fortunate but also well seasoned! Stay together brother as long as it works for you! 😀😇

man, if JT gets the mind set as JB about winning, there's nothing that can stop us from winning back to back to back titles... one can see it in JB's eyes when he says "me, i wanna win" When he asks JT the same, the first thing he does is laughs... not saying that he's disinterested but that fire is missing
@edgardorivera88572 жыл бұрын
You’re overanalyzing it 🤦🏽♂️. They both have the same mindset, they just express it differently. Tatum is a quiet dude, and can be awkward in situations like this interview, but he’s a killer on the court.

Jaylen Brown is such a good leader and team player. Don't take this the wrong way, I love Tatum and Brown together, but I always wish that Brown was the star player and that instead of Tatum the team drafted a guy like Fox, Bam, or Mitchell so that we could see Brown be the definitive #1. Tatum might be better at driving around and hitting really tough jumpers, but I really think Brown is better at just about everything else and he's the kind of guy who you can expect to go to need early before a big game and be ready to play 100% of the time (I refer his stint in the Olympics where the games were at like 5am east USA time and when the games started it looked like Jaylen Brown was the only guy who got a decent night's sleep and was ready to ball out from the tip whereas urger guys looked like they were daydreaming and only got like 2 hours rest), and always be in the best shape he can be in. Of you want an example of what I would expect, look at the highlights from a game vs the magic in Orlando, I think the season before last (post bubble, pre fans coming back to games) and it was rain out with covid and Brown was the #1 and he killed it and was just such a more vocal guy than he usually is. I think this is the year where his huge leaps forward begin to surpass the minor improvement Tatum makes each offseason. I really wish the Celtics won the finals and Brown was FMVP because that might have just been the catalyst to make Jaylen the #1 and I just want that so bad, especially because when Brown shoots or drives, he gets back on defense, where when Tatum shoots or drives, he spends 10 seconds throwing up his hands and complaining and not getting back on defense, so if Brown is getting more shots that means there are fewer times Tatum will leave his team with a 5 on 4 break so he can complain about not getting a whistle after dribblong it off his foot.

JB is elite, the best! But, the magic is them together - iron sharpens iron. They admit it, they bring out the best in each other. What you get is the best that they can be because of their relationship. One is a proton, one is an electron - together they are a powerful energy. Dynamic duos like this don't come along too often, it is rare and magnificently special.
