I’ve never watched an interview from Tracy Chapman. Her smile lights up the room. She’s one of my top 5 favorite singer/song writers. She is still modest about her celebrity status. She didn’t let herself get caught up in their web. She brought tears to my eyes, and I Thank God and Tracy, for this glimpse into her gentle world ❤

Its so refreshing to hear an educated, humble and thoughtful person's inside take about their life in the entertainment biz. SO often these interviews are just hyping some new project. She has an identity outside of all that bullshit, and its beautiful to see because it could not have been easy to stay that grounded being so famous and talented.

She is a rock star 🎸 with a college degree. There needs to be an autobiographical movie 🎥 made on this woman. It would be a great movie. 🌟 🌟
@MrRobertFarr Жыл бұрын
What's a College Degree ? What subjects does a College Degree cover and is it a stepping stone to professional employment ? I am rather bitter , having achieved a University Degree. People say, it's a waste of talent. That, well. I did not persue career pathways, I thought of as being destructive. Yeah sure man ? Work in electronics ? Dude ? I went to the interview for that , but The Police just undermined me. What, am I supposed to live on ? Fresh air and lies !? ❤😊

I have always loved Tracy Chapman's music. I love her politics, her vulnerability, her intelligence in her lyrics and in her musical composition. What I learned most from this (excellent) interview is that she loves to read. That explains so much: why her lyrics and music are so thoughtful, why she is soft-spoken and wise in her choice of words, and understands the power of well chosen words. Thank you for bringing out so much of her story in this interview. I love that we don't hear the interviewer, just Tracy Chapman.

I love this woman , I miss her music. I wrote a paper in college about “talking about a revolution” because I used to listen to it back to back in my car. I am not black but the lyrics really touched me on a deep level, because she spoke about people o”on the fringe , with dreams and no resources. I usually listen to music as an uneducated musical perspective, focused on the sound, not the lyrics . But her lyrics stuck. So genuine

Elegant and well spoken... and I love her voice and lyrics and unique and creative use of harmonic structures and rhythms. Seems to me her writing is very well thought out. I'm sure she had to work hard to sculpt the final result. Great musician, singer, song writer. Much admiration and appreciation for her being in the world. Thank you Tracy.

Tracey didn't play the [DS] game thus the powers that be have stubbed her. Same hand positions in other interviews. I bet we see her return after the coming tribunals
