They could basically keep this series going on decades. Even though Kiryu is hard to beat as a main character, I think they could still go back and do a game for Majima, Kazama etc.

1. You can totally tell that Kuroda takes the substories more seriously, which is what I think makes them so good - in the midst of this huge dramatic story, Kiryu getting bothered by some rando on the street warrants just as much of his attention and focus. 2. "Please play Ishin" - bruh, we want to, but because of the time period-appropriate Japanese, apparently Bakumatsu period things have to be explained even for native speakers. How are us gaijin supposed to figure that out without studying the language for years lol? PLEASE BRING ISHIN TO THE WEST!

You're right! You actually can tell :) It's great though that he loves the substories! Also, Kuroda actually didn't know at first that we in the West couldn't play Ishin. It surprised him. Hopefully, they will come around and actually translate the game so we can get our hands on it! Thanks for watching!!

I would love to play Ishin. I would love to play every single Yakuza game or spinoff. But I don't understand Japanese and likely never will.

Why the interviewers never asked about hearsay, that developers were or were not actually backed and consulted by real Japanese yakuza in terms of authenticity of events, gang wars, etc?

Thank you for your feedback. We didn't ask that question simply because it didn't cross our minds. Also, we're not sure if it's okay to ask such a thing (based on manners, culture etc) so even if we would've asked, we probably would not have gotten an answer. But you're making an interesting point for sure!
