What a breath of fresh air. Enforcing the law and holding people accountable, what a radical concept!

I like the idea that he actually answers her tough questions. That in itself is a breath of fresh air. Mayor Scott says a whole lot of nothing.

No, Mayor Scott likes being challenged. He said so himself. He tells the reporters every time he speaks that he likes being challenged while he's berating them for asking him any questions at all. How dare they!! But he likes being challenged. Just ask his friends. Ask his family. He can take criticism as long as its not about him. He will remind us constantly that the crime problems have been around in Baltimore since long before he was even born. That the crime is getting worse everywhere not just Baltimore. Basically not his problem. What do you want from him? Leadership? Don't ask him because he'll challenge you on that. See, he loves a good challenge. Smh......

"Big smile" on a public official's face can mean absolutely anything, or nothing. This reporter has asked the difficult questions, including "How do you intend to actually follow through with your campaign promises, concerning enforcement of our laws?" I'll give this reporter credit for this much. But this incoming prosecutor's response was to start talking about a "conversation over dinner" with another public official. These types of "conversations" between public officials can also mean absolutely nothing. Dinner conversation is NOT the same as a pre-voting day commitment made as a public, video-taped speech. And through this interview there is absolutely no mention of any statements from the mayor of this city, when obviously the mayor controls the actions of police officers. It seems that this incoming prosecutor has won this office by means of promises which he absolutely knew in advance, would go absolutely no where, after January 2023. He comes across as "just another politician" The outcome will be same old same old political "stuff"

Exactly. Baltimore City is in a crisis mode like we've never seen and we're trying to interpret smiles???? Are you kidding me!!! Its like the same people who think the weather will help the crime when it gets cold? Criminals do not care about the weather. Or when we had just a few days in the past 2 months with no murders and they think things are getting better. Shootings but no murder. Those were just a few days of bad aim. We made up for that with the violence and murders this weekend alone. God help Baltimore City.
