"The first time I ever really listened to Kyle Kulinski’s show was in the back of a cab last summer. The driver had his phone hooked up through the stereo and was pumping out an episode through the car speakers - loudly, as if looking to convert a captive audience.
“Do you like Kyle Kulinski?”
The driver, Ahmed, was a recent immigrant and apparently a die-hard fan of Secular Talk, the political talk show that Kulinski broadcasts on KZbin. I told him, yes, in fact. I do like Kulinski, had come across his show several years ago, and, all things considered, he seemed pretty good.
“He understands what we’re up against,” Ahmed said. “Like Bernie.”
But I was surprised to hear Kulinski’s name mentioned in the same breath as Bernie Sanders, particularly with such adoration. Because what I did remember about Kulinski’s show struck me as mostly capital-P “progressive” takes on the news - the left wing of the Netroots crowd more than the democratic socialism Sanders has popularized.
It’s an impression that wasn’t entirely incorrect.
“I have no time for philosophical, airy bullshit,” Kulinski tells me from his home in Westchester, New York. “I don’t want to hear about Lenin. I don’t want to hear about Marx. I just want a super plainspoken, straightforward agenda with a straightforward way of selling it.”
With over 800,000 subscribers and nearly 670 million total views on KZbin, selling a progressive agenda is clearly something Kulinski knows how to do - even Democracy Now, the long-standing flagship of progressive media, cannot match his reach on the platform. Chapo Trap House can certainly boast a wildly devoted fan base (and a not insignificant degree of media influence), but their audience is roughly half the size of Kulinski’s.
While Secular Talk might be more likely to be looped in with the progressive networks around Air America and Pacifica alums like Sam Seder than the more resolutely socialist world, Kulinski’s fiery rhetoric, razor-sharp class instincts, and knack for withering takedowns sets him apart from his peers. Judging by his rhetoric alone, he’s closer to a Eugene Debs than a Chris Hayes.
But unlike Hayes, Amy Goodman, or his friend Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks - who began airing Secular Talk on his web network seven years ago - the thirty-two-year-old Kulinski is virtually invisible in the mainstream media. Despite his enormous fan base, his show has never once been mentioned in the obligatory trend pieces on “the Millennial Left” pumped out by the prestige media. Nor has Kulinski’s name ever popped up at all in the New York Times, Vox, the New Yorker, New York Magazine, or the Washington Post, despite his leading role in cofounding Justice Democrats, the organization widely credited with sweeping Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of “the Squad” to power.
Just last week, his Wikipedia page was deleted. The reason? “There is very simply no [reliable source] coverage of this person,” according to one moderator. In new media, he’s king - the Sean Hannity of the Berniecrat left. In old media, he’s nobody.
I suspect there are a few reasons for that. There is nothing “cool” about Kulinski’s show. (As a friend put it, “‘Welcome to Secular Talk’ sounds like something you’d hear on Egyptian radio.”) His no-nonsense social-democratic politics won’t get him much cred with the Full Communism crowd. He records his show not in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but in a studio he built himself in his modest Westchester home. His hair is too groomed and his taste in clothes too preppy to qualify as “Dirtbag Left.” Nor has he ever attended an n+1 release party. “Not only have I not attended one,” he says, “I have no idea what that means.”
And yet he’s astonishingly plugged-in for a young man in the suburbs. Wondering how Sanders ended up on the Joe Rogan Experience? Kulinski, a frequent guest on Rogan’s wildly popular show, introduced them. “You make the most sense to me,” Rogan told Kulinski on a recent episode. “You’re a normal person.”
Much like Sanders himself, Kulinski’s show has a massive audience that just doesn’t compute with our media’s understanding of “what the kids want” or even “what the left-wing kids want.”
It’s probably for the best - the very woke and very WASP-ish decorum haunting much of the media world is nowhere to be found in Secular Talk. “Corporate Democrats over-focus on identity as a trick to divert you from the issues that unite us all - class issues,” he said on a recent episode. “That Raytheon decided they don’t hate gays or trans people - frankly, I don’t really give a shit what their take on that is..."

ONE thing I do note is when Kari Lake is asked a 'gotya' questions + to her, she has, does and will turn it around for the blubbering left leaning reporters. Think of Harris and her letter soup, ie time, That matter that is more significant is the civil engagement, where everyone else is smarter at the end of the day, and we make better choices.

No real American wants to ban guns the second amendment allows people to have some arms they can carry and that includes fire arms . The first arms that were prohibited in major cities were big knives mostly Bowie knives with blades over 9" inches because that was the weapon most men could afford. Civilized people got sick of knife fights and the first 2nd amendment restriction occurred in 1830 or so city by city. Small towns often had gun restrictions and private business had the right to disarm customets. To this day if your going into a club where weapons are not allowed if you discreetly ask the head bouncer to hold your weapon for you till you leave they often will as a reamnant of past etiquette. Most right wingers think arms means fire arms but arms mean arms and most arms are illegal like hand grenades and mortars so the right to bear or carry arms iis not absolute which mean the right to carry firearms is not absolute. The cities should have the right to ban any type of firearm that is popular for committing crimes in public. The founding fathers would be disgusted with people who insisted assault rifles stay legal even though they are the weapon of choice for school shooters. Cities should have the right to ban them in city limits. State rights should not exclude urban rights. The founding fathers would have banned assault rifles the first time they were used against school kids while at school. It makes sense people that think their favorite President should be able to leave classified documents concerning nuclear weapons in a box in an unlocked storage facil II th in a private club full of spies in order to give more people a reason to join the club and pay dues. The fact is Trump has kept top secret documents in boxes in the unlocked storage room in Maralargo since he first became President. The top secret documents were boring useless things that Trump only liked the fact that leaving them out and accessible to scan or take would attract people to join the club and pay their dues. Trump thinks classified intelligence is beyond boring he could care less about who gets it and what the consequences might be so of course people that think Trump should be able to leave classified intelligentce out for enemy spies also dont care at all about assault rifles being used to kill school children it means nothing to them. Its funny to watch real journalist and public officials that believe Trump only recently stared leaving boxes of open secret Intel out for spies to copy when Trump has been doing that since day one.

Joe Biden & his son Hunter Biden & Hillary & Bill Clinton are dirtier than pigs playing in the mud. Teddy Roosevelt was the last decent President we had. Even FDR was a racist who refused to congratulate Jesse Owens & the other Black Olympic Athletes from the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany. Only the white Olympic Athletes were invited to the Whitehouse by FDR. Roosevelt refused to sign anti-lynching legislation and he refused to integrate the Military before WWII.

I adore Jesse Ventura. He's a brilliant fellow who is a talented, creative, a critical thinker, that really sees the truth from the BS. I learned about him in wrestling, but to me that was just entertainment. The man went on to become a Mayor and Governor. And I love his books. My favorite episode of my favorite show, The X-Files, stars Jesse as one of the men in black. Jesse's a national treasure

That's kind of the genius of Trump in a way though. Now don't get me wrong I strongly hate him and despise everything he is about but you have to be honest and admit. He played everybody. Of course it was all about him yet so many people brought into him because he was the villain. Because he acted like no one else running for office before him and yet he ultimately prevailed. He can now tell people he was a president. He played the villain role perfectly and that's why people buy into him

He's not book smart but he is business smart and a master manipulator. It's actually pretty easy when you see how fickle wrestling fans are. Almost as fickle as trump sheeple who will never accept evidence against him. However, there was that one time he got booed for promoting the vaccine but notice how nobody at his rallies yell "you lied about the wall".

That's why I actually think he is more intelligent than people give him credit for. It's does take some level of intelligence to dupe millions of people into believing you will be a good president and have them actually vote him into office. It's one thing to con thousands of people but to con millions of people into believing something that was never true is kinda incredible. Like I think Trump knew exactly what he was doing too if he had a clear message that resonated with millions of poorly educated American's and Average Joe's working 9-5 jobs on not much income who are fed up with how their country has been run then millions of people will buy it when in reality it was never about them. It was always about him. I mean how many people can say they were a president of the United States. It was to satisfy his own ego and fulfill another life achievement. That's kind of amazing how he was able to convince so many people to buy it

One more thought. Billy Preston , a 70’s music artist, in a song with the lyric, “Let the bad guy win every once in a while”, says it best. We live in a comic book world where the villains that have been somewhat contained are being released with Trump,The Joker, leading the way. Its all about the ratings and Jesse is right by saying that there is no rule of law, only Trump’s spell over a vengeful public.

To expand on Jesse’s point Trump isn’t the only one who portrays himself as a WWE Villain all of the establishment is. Obama and Biden were both against Gay Marriage before they became the champions for LGBTQ rights, they were also against immigrants crossing the border before supporting open borders. He can say that about Trump flip flopping, Jesse used to want to be independent, but sides more on the left, but then believes in people's freedom of owning guns, he had an argument with Piers Morgan about gun control years back. Then Jesse also wanted open borders, and the only reason why he wanted open borders because he lives in mexico half of the year is why, he has dual citizenship with USA & Mexico he said that on the Howard Stern show. Jesse really can't fly because he has metal in his body, so he just wants it open borders for himself. I used to like Jesse, but he's all over the place, he said he was tired of Coke & Pepsi of only picking from these two parties, but still favors the left. As years went by this guy is just a mess with politicial views, and can never make up his mind. So I guess he really likes pepsi now right? and NOT Independent. I mean I remember him releasing a book called democrips and rebloodlicans because he couldn't stand either party, he just flip flops now.
