He wasn’t underrated. He didn’t maximize his talent. Sure he got money and some trophies but he mostly a squad player, didn’t leave a mark in the game. I wished for his own sake he took a risk like KDB and Salah did. Because those two will go down in history as some of the very best to do it, while Mikel is busy talking about getting approval of Lampard and JT. Did Argen Robben need those men approval? Did Eden Hazard need it? No, because they were world class ballers.

Man U's record of appreciation and treatment of great players and coaches, is absolutely disgusting. Jose is not the only one, there are uncountable players that left due to this. Any genuine fan of football and even non-fans of Man U, can clearly see this repeated pattern of absolute disgusting and unfair treatment, instigated largely by the Press and also from the lousy management structure. When these great players leave, they flourish elsewhere and get the admiration and thanks which they deserve. Man U languishing in no man's land now is what it deserves to be. Period.

His mixture of honesty, wit and humility at the same time is on another level. He knows how to tell stories. Hope he writes a book someday. I'd love to read it. On a different note, I'm not very good at making predictions. But I think Mourinho's next job is at Newcastle FC, England. I'd throw away my affiliations with Chelsea and support Newcastle because of him. He's truly the special one. Finally, as for the the ObiOne podcast, please never stop doing what you're doing. I know that Jose will get another very good project after Roma because he is addicted to the game and good owners of ambitious projects will always value his experience! As a Manchester United fan,it is so sad that some ignorant fans are finally realising that the player power virus in our club that Mourinho wanted to eradicate was allowed to thrive and now fans have finally smelt the coffee! Pogba and Martial never went ahead to achieve anything and we can see how their careers have faltered because of their entourage, agents and owners who back these people over managers at the club! Those players were the genesis of the culture problems at the club and now fans will not let players destroy another young manager at our club! Jose Mourinho is sounding everyday like a prophet and we are seeing it unfold before our eyes! Thank you Jose for opening the eyes of Manchester United to the problems at the club! @@benjaminwillamspeter1919 i agree there. the head to head battles especially when jose joined madrid were brutal for madrid and jose. pep dominiated. and even though he won laliga in 2012, it took a monumental effort to knock pep of his perch. i think the later years made me realize that pep doesnt challenge himself. he went to bayern who were an already successful team and he did next to nothing there. with City he had a blank check. to me... yes his great but he was never put in "horrible" conditions to coach a club

His peak was definitely the highest, yeah. I think Pep's model is more sustainable. But for 10 years or so Maureen was insane.

The mutual respect and love between Mikel and Jose is so visible. I love that they still have a good relationship after Mikel's football career. Jose refers to him as 'My Boy' and Mikel calls him 'Boss', '2nd Dad', that's so nice to see. Mourinho is the reason why I'm a Chelsea Fan till today. I Joined to see the Special One in 2003
