Just make sure you aren't using a CIA/Mossad distro that is as infested as PRISM program OS's like Windows. Also TPM was always about this. It's why companies like Germany called out Trusted Platform module lunacy years ago and MS repeatedly tried to implement it in all their newer failed OS's. First with 8 now with 11.

Since it says "train the AI", it already implies that it will have a configuration in favor of something, that is, that it will not be impartial and will have preference to something, so it will do what the trainers tell it 🤷♂️

Of course the goal is to make more profit, but they've also move more r + d to israel and have started manufacturing their own AI chips which will give them and apple the duopoly outright if it is not already. But nah mate, keep on keeping on.

OF COURSE theses copyright laws will need to adapt to neeeew technology like AI BECAUSE AI is trans-formative it's new world... but in the 90's and the early 2000's theses same copyright laws would allow you to install Windows on 1 and ONLY 1 COMPUTER to profit Microsoft (especially in the AntiTrust case) BUT TODAY they will need to adapt a little bit ... what a beautiful 2 standard world we are living in ...

This was a thought-provoking interview on many fronts because so much was broached. In terms of artificial intelligence and work, the ideal of course is for it to bolster (not replace) people. However, with each new technology of consequence, jobs that didn't exist before get created while others disappear. This is an unpleasant fact in many ways (especially for those who unfortunately aren't well-positioned for the resulting changes), but a fact nonetheless. With AI, I think the level of government intervention needed to prevent displacements that society can't adapt to in time is an important question. It's still early days and this isn't an immediate threat, but given the astonishing speed of AI innovation, I don't think anyone can completely discount the need for some kind of intervention down the road. As for the AI business model as it stands, a lot does hinge on what constitutes fair use and what a copyright means in this increasingly digital age. Of course, it's hard not to sympathize with artists, newspapers and other content creators, many of whom struggle financially to begin with because of the nature of their work. Although I'm not a legal expert, intuitively it seems content creators should get some level of compensation if their work is being monetized via a technology company's AI-related products and services. On the other hand, the notion of fair use is a cornerstone of our society. It allows people to use copyrighted works for (among other things) commentary, criticism, research and scholarship. Hopefully, whatever solution emerges keeps this important concept alive while being fair to artists, newspapers, etc and not hurting incentives to create high-quality content. As for identifying content that is AI-generated in order to stifle misinformation and disinformation, it sounds like that effort is further along that I thought based on what I've been reading. That's a crucial first step, but (as Satya Nadella notes) this year's elections won't be the first with disinformation and misinformation; and more will need to be done outside of tracking AI content to protect their integrity. As for state-supported hackers targeting private companies like Microsoft, that is obviously chilling. It's heartening to know that Microsoft was able to detect what had happened, but it's very easy to imagine (because the world unfortunately has no shortage of experience with cybercrime over the past several years) conflict intensifying on the cyber-front between nation-states, with an expanding ring of private companies and individuals getting caught in the crossfire. I think Satya Nadella is right in stating that some kind of agreement akin to the Geneva Convention would be ideal to keep attacks from spiraling out of control.

I think it's interesting that Lester Hold references The New Times in a question about using the Times content. Lester just used the NYT content in the question. How is AI suppose to NOT use the content to train AI models with the reporters are using to create their stories, essential a Reporting AI Model ?
