I think This interview was a landmark moment. I’m only a year younger than you but I remember when you were drafted and that was basically the most positive thing that happened for us in 08 (approx) after 2 failed rebuilds and a failed pennant purchase in 04 The interview is of course meaningful because of sediment, but you’ve come into your own as an interviewer and Baltimores first real Podcaster. It may not have been the way any of us envisioned but it’s a first, completely unique, and fully apart of this organization and the 27th man on the team you could say. The Iron Bridge between the okd oriole way with your Dad, across the desolate mote and into the new oriole way forward. Youre a hybrid of Orioles player and podcaster, the intermediary between the players and the fans. Ryan the MothFfin Iron Bridge Ripken! Much Love - Jacap

Best O’s podcast/interview ever. So awesome as an O’s fan to get this content. I love it fantastic work. One piece of feedback, perhaps it’s intentional 🤔 but I can’t help thinking Ryan looks like a super smart 21st century Count Dracula with that lighting. Never thought it before but now I can’t unsee it. I say that as a compliment. Thank you!

Coming from upstate New York it’s been absolute hell being an Orioles fan. I can’t believe where we are as an organization, I’m sure a lot of O’s fan hate the Yankees as much as I do! But for the past couple of years with Elias it’s been gold telling yankee fans there trash and not being the laughing stock of the AL east

Hey Ryan, I stand corrected off of what we talked about last night in the Hotdog line. After hearing MIke talk about the pitching crisis and the AAA lack of top quality pitchers. Ice, I think he’s actually right and I am. I apologize I was wrong. I think that what he says about Jackson getting the pitching looks at the major league level is doing more for his long-term development than you’re right then some of the other pitching he and AAA. I hope he comes true. I know he’s gonna come good. Like I said in line, but I think this assessment is way better than mine so thank you for sharing this.

I tune in daily always looking for new content and love the “inside knowledge” you have with the Os! I love the connections you have and the exclusive interviews are amazing! You have the clout and knowledge of the game that the fans know your giving out quality information! Thank you and please keep it going! Are you inside the warehouse with this interview? So sick! Make that your office! PS I tell all my friends and family about the Ryan Ripken show on KZbin! 🎉

O's are sittin on top of a gold mine - for sure, the rest of the league is salivating at the idea of luring these prospects - to name a couple, Kjerstad and Mayo - teams would pay a hefty price for these two and others.
@tomsheets63998 ай бұрын
Ryan, you do a good job. The question that I think you should ask: On the human side of things, how do you manage the fact that some players will feel as if they are losing years of their career, waiting to be promoted? Yes, it's great to be part of a winning organization, but their career is being affected as well. Kyle Stower is just one small example...Kjerstad is potentially another - being an older minor leaguer (yes, lost some time because of health). Secretly, some of them may want to get traded sooner than rather than later, so that they can reach their ultimate goal, which is being in the major leagues.

As a fan that watches every game, knows the minor league system, and the players we pick up off waivers I have to say that my wife and I miss what Kyle Gibson brought to the clubhouse last year. He had such a presence with the younger players and was so positive and a great interview. From his first interview I couldn't get over how much he looked and sounded like Topher Grace. He is missed standing at the top of the dugout waiting to release his sprinkler from the water in his mouth.

Lets talk about how long the leash is for Holliday if he doesnt heat up. Is it May, June? He is not only struggling at the plate but he lacks polish in the field. He had his first walk tonight, which was great but he looks like a boy among men.
@deansmoker48538 ай бұрын
Everybody wanted to criticize Elias for Holliday not starting the season on the roster. Now, people see the holes in Hollidays batting which did need improvement. Now, the O's have to decide if they are a top tier playoff team this year, which I think they are, or if they are going to let a player rehab through his struggles on the main roster without sending him back down...which he'll be criticized for

Are you in the warehouse? I’m still bitter that the city took that property from its owners, with nowhere near proper financial compensation. Of course I’m happy it’s home to Camden Yards, but the city essentially stole it. My grandfather was one of the building owners.
