I’m from Mexico and went to Old Trafford in 2012 to watch Olympic football, and my first thought when I got to my seat was how small the seats were. At the time I didn’t want to admit it, but my local team (Santos Laguna) had a better stadium. Still enjoyed the experience of getting to visit OT though.

Yeah new stadium for me…like they said the current OT isn’t getting any younger and many clubs have overtaken us in terms of fan facilities and comfort.

I don't get this.. We are one of the only big English clubs who still have our historical home.. And we should keep it that way . I've been there I know the seats suck, the roof leaks, the wifi doesn't exsist or even your phone signal.. There are many many issues with.. So let's rebuild it from the same base.. Make it bigger and modern but keep the foundation, the bricks the pitch (mabye get rid of that fucking drop around it).. I don't want to go to the Manchester united stadium or god forbid insert brand name here stadium.. I want to go to old Trafford.. It's changed so many times over the years why not do it again??

I just went to the evening session, pretty interesting. It seems it’s swaying towards a new stadium being built at this stage and that makes a lot of sense. I’m all for a new stadium, but they’ve got to maintain the history because otherwise what’s the point. We’re a club built on history and legacy and we should never forget whilst moving forward working our way back to where we belong at the top of the pile

@@snapper993 because it’s in desperate need of a refurb’ and if it was to be for the academy then I wouldn’t think it would need 75-6 thousand places or even if they were to do it for the women I think 35-40 maybe 50 tops, looking at the record attendance for a women’s game. The derby or Arsenal which is way more than that of the men’s academy, it’s still not 50,000 so it could be made more comfortable etc.. maybe even a new roof. Just a personal preference I don’t like the sound of half full stadiums and I think 40,000 would be enough, and you?? How would you like to see things go?? UTR&UTFP ✌🏼🙂&✊🏼

I was at the talk today and IMO it felt like it was very much heading towards a new stadium, I wanted to stay at OT but after the talk I feel much better about the new ground... shame there are no plans to keep OT after the move though :(

As someone who supports United from the US, would love to go to a match at OT and want to keep it for sentimental reasons. however, based on what is said about people who frequent OT, it seems like a new stadium is needed.

The fans that are clinging onto the stadium need to just let go - people have to realise that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, if we get this wrong it will hold the club back, and we will end up being second best again. Let me tell you as a fan of over 50 years I’m f*****g fed up of being second best. We can incorporate elements of the current stadium into the new one….we need BEST IN CLASS and a new stadium is the only we to get that.

Gotta be NEW. Gotta have a retractable ROOF. If they want a Stadium that is going to generate income it must have a retractable roof so it can be used for concerts & events where customers are treated with comforts & amenities. Same for football matches .... who wants to pay premium $$$$ to be soaked in rain or snow & watch an inferior standard of play? Once in a lifetime opportunity .... do it right.
