I don't understand what Shyne" took the fall for". According to my research, Shyne was the first one to pull out his gun and shoot. He shot 2 men and possibly injured another. He served 8 years out of a 10 year sentence (2001-2009). He received a good deal. He is lucky that he wasn't also found guilty of 2 counts of attempted murder. If he was "defending" himself as he claims, he should've taken the stand in his own defence. Shyne says he was 18 years old when he did the shooting. That is not true. He was born in 1978 and did the shooting in 1999. He was 21 years old. Shyne is trying to make himself look innocent. He needs to take responsibility for his actions.

From my research, Shyne was the first one to pull out a gun and shoot. He escalated the situation into a deadly force situation. That could be the reason why he is very vague during interviews.

@@cherie0882 Defendants have the right to take the stand. Why shouldn't he have taken the stand? Many witnesses were stating that he unnecessarily escalated the situation by being the first one to pull out his gun and shot at people. If it was really self defense as he claims, then he should've gotten on the stand and showed how it was "self-defense". The jury probably took into account that he didn't get on the stand in his defense when others were accusing him. Although the law states that the jury shouldn't take the defendant's decision not to testify as an admission of guilt, the jury usually does. I hope that you are not an attorney.
