@@leoninthelab - Ah, good. But let's note that the fact that regular hats have to be called "plain Janes" is illustrative of the problem. Hats with no side patch should be the norm, not some phenomenon that needs a special name.

@@VFTV - I am loads of fun. What's not fun is the difficulty of finding a well-designed hat that's not marred by something on the side. I have three hats with side patches out of the approximately 200 that I own. That's a healthy ratio.
