This interview is an example of a journalist, clueless about Urdu and Hindi literature and poetry, interviewing a master. And yes, I hope the person being interviewed isn't interrupted so much. I wish this was an interview between the daughter and father.

Rajdeep Sardesai is the worst interviewer I have ever seen. Absolutely no etiquette and respect, doesn't let others speak. All his questions are closed-ended, trying to put words in other people's mouths. It's a shame he wasted Gulzar saab's and Meghna Gulzar's precious time. There must be other better interviewers in India that can handle this kind of project. People like Gulzar are stalwarts and legends of the entertainment industry with an enormous body of work to boot that requires an in-depth appreciation and understanding of the visual and musical art of indian cinema. However, this interviewer has a talent for ruining that thrilling experience for the audience to hear some rivetting and thought provoking analysis of Gulzar's accomplishments. Pity about the lacklustre interview! I do hope that Gulzar and his daughter do another interview with a better presenter.
