That Oprah interview went left because Oprah made a big deal about something even she didn't understand. Raven said that she didn't believe American born blacks should be called African Americans. Oprah acted like Raven said the most blasphemous thing which in turn made fake woke black people hate and turn on her. She's right, African born and American raised are the true African-Americans, we as black Americans don't know our true lineage so we're simply American. She never denied her blackness or shied away from it.
