LB Cucurella, Chillwell, def Cucu ahead of chillwell. RB ocfourse we good. Midfield very good too. The coach should focus on jelling them together now. I think fans judge Badiahsile too harshly cos of his form after returning from injury second had of last season and forgot how good he was when he came last Jan for the 2nd half of that season before his I just so don’t be so quick to write him off. I honestly believe if we can afford to shift Sterling and get a versatile forward that can either play centrally or on the left or both, we’re good cos palmer and Madueke on the right is strong and Angelo could surprise us not to mention all the other young right wingers we’ve stockpiled coming through from next season. I would then wait to see if we need a goalkeeping upgrade next summer rather than this one so I think one more forward transfer and we should be good for this year

@@KingDaCon I honestly think the academy love sometimes overshadows reason cos I honestly can’t say Levi is better or not like most Chelsea fans are claiming now. They’ve both had good and bad spells so it’s a straight fight as far as I’m concerned and if I was going off style and what I’ve seen so far in Chelsea blue when they played their best, I’ll take a Fofana and Badiashile pairing all day and I think they’ll be solid. Colwill can also be great next to Fofana but I’d say Fofana is the most well rounded in my opinion in terms of defensive ability, aggression combined with ability on the ball

I think we should give up on the concept that players will obviously decline after turning 30. I see no issue in giving Watkins a 5 or a 4+1 deal. Given his journey, he seems to be a driven character who will take care of himself and will go fairly strong through his early 30s. He is quick, but his game is much more than that, and I don't see him declining that hard, unless he just decides to go lazy because of the contract. But that can be said for every other signing who is on a 8-10 yr deal.

I don't think the Watkins rumours are real. A ST that doesn't fit the profile linked to Chelsea days after scoring a crucial goal? Sounds very made up. He's not tall and not aerial strong either. I like him but I don't think we should do it. Not the profile Maresca wants and considering that just giving them Gallagher alone is a lot. Adding cash on top makes it very expensive for someone that doesn't fit the system. I'm not even sure Watkins would want to join us anyway. It won't be a significant wage increase, as far as I know he has no sentimental ties to Chelsea and he'd be playing CL football in a system that works and that he does well in with Villa next season. Where is the incentive for him to sign for us (other than Chelsea being a bigger name)? I don't think it'll happen, as I think that rumour is made up, but even if it wasn't a made up rumour we shouldn't do it. Jackson will do fine and I'm certain one of our young STs will make for a good backup. Still not a fan of signing Desire Doue. Very expensive for an unproven kid that plays in a position in which we're covered in anyways. It's just unnecessary and doesn't even strengthen us that much.
