Hey David! I am very happy I purchased the 24kt gold version! Since only 500 were being released, I may just keep mine unused. It definitely will be a collector's piece down the road. I have 2 standard 6S models that I use, so I can keep the gold one in pristine condition. Also, if I want to have a gold one to use, I can get one of my current stainless steel models replated in gold by Razor Emporium. Needless to say, Rockwell has terrific products! You can't go wrong with any razor you choose from them! Thanks for reviewing your gold version! JimG

Hi Dave. Great video, as always. As you mentioned that "against the grain" on your lower neck is down, it might be a good time to raise the topic of grain mapping, as everyone's facial hair grows different (under my jaw, it grows left-to-right, for instance, so "against the grain" for me is right-to-left). The two/three pass shave works very well, but newbies may not be aware that their hair growth differs from yours, etc. All the best.

Go Bucks! I'm with you on that one. Thanks for the support. I will send you some different blades when I ship your Razor, brush and soap. I was in the hospital for 9 days and now staying over at my parents house so my mom can take care of me. I had a spider bit my foot when I was working outside last month and they had to cut out a pretty big chuck of my foot to remove the infection. I have nurses coming out 3 times a week to change to bandage and administer medication daily through an IV. I am still going home once a week to shoot video's to keep this channel alive for some income to help pay my bills that are stacking up fast. I plan on shipping your winnings and this months winner around the 1st of November. Just trying to focus on the hard times ahead and keep a strong positive attitude. I've got a polished 6s I bought from Razor Emporium and a red one I got new on eBay for a steal. They are in my top three also. The matt finish is cool. It's too bad they didn't put a gold base on the 24 karat unit. That being said it is still a beauty.

@@robertseals9148 most of it comes down into post production. Color grading the video correctly and getting the sound right where you want it. Obviously having great equipment helps but editing is a huge part of making a great video. Here on KZbin I think sound and lighting are the top two things you need to focus on to make your video stand out. If you ever watched a video that had terrible sound you normally stop watching it. If the sound is good, your eyes are glued if it's a topic that you're interested in. At least that's how it is for me.

Haven't touched my Rockwell or any of my dozen or so other razors since I started shaving with a Facon kamisori style shavette. I think tomorrow I'll break out the 6S and try it with a Rex blade which is amazing in my Konsul. I wonder how the 6S would look with a rhodium finish? Why didn't you use the Rockwell blade?

David is 100% correct. It is worth the price and is a collector’s item for 250$ you will only feel and see the quality and pound for pound value after you buy it and see it in-person. It looks like a matte finish 24 karat gold finish like vintage fine jewelry. If you want to spend 100-120$ then get the standard stainless 6s.
