I prefer to disagree with Mr.Gavaskar, if the team was selected after the NZ whitewash, players like Sai Sudharshan, Padikkal, Mukesh Kumar who did well against Australia A in Australia would have got a chance to be in the squad. Sudharshan could be a wonderful batsman at 1 to 3, Padikkal a good batsman at No 6(which India is desperately trying to find), and Mukesh Kumar bowled really well like how a Bhuvi, Praveen Kumar, Prabhkar used to bowl with the swing.

I think Kohli is still in good form, his strokes and drives are still magnificent, only Jadeja would be on par when it comes to running between the wickets so nimbly, most of the dismissals this year for him have been on very good deliveries, or unplayable deliveries, one thing he has struggled is tackling uneven bounce, especially deliveries which got pitched on the rough ending up low or bouncing too much, I haven't seen him get out playing a bad shot or a rash shot. One century can get him on the top mode again

For all Indians fans who r surprised by this defeat. Actually they shouldn’t be. New Zealand bought basics into game with lot of precision They knew their limitations and strength. They were never going to be like Aus or Eng who can put massive target on will in Indian conditions. They had two good quality spinners and some good accurate seamers. Indian batting has been struggling agnst good attack on testing conditions not just today but been for long time. Ever since kohli took charge of the Indian team,the emphasis was more on taking 20 wickets but the art of survival or negotiating tough conditions was been overlooked and mostly got unnoticed as we won some important away matches and series. Drawn 2-2 in Eng and Won 2 away BGT series. But whenever we lost in India it was a massive one sided loss. And in all of these our second innings batting was in shambles .. So when u don’t learn from ur past and take opposition not that seriously thinking it is slightly weaker than Aus,Eng or SA.. We get the results which we deserve.

Sunny Bhai's analysis is perfect. We shd have the temperament to prolong and sustain. Though the pitch was a miracle, with the lesser target we cud hv won if Rohit had not.played those shots. He is a combination of Viru and Cheeka. Test cricket is a different ball game. Also, sarfraz khan is so immatured that he shd have realised b4 playing those shots. The way we played as if we were at the mandatory over on the last day. Patience is the key.

Less then 150 to make to win, 10 wickets to defend-both in 3 days of playtime. Any mature captain and team should have approached with caution snd defense to go slow. If you play 90 overs with caution with to make sure you don't lose minimum wicket, you can easily make the run and win the match.

Signs were there for last 1-2 years but noone called it out. In so many series , Indian team were rescued by lower batsmen like Axar,Jadega,Ashwin when the top order was not firing but the management continue to ignore as India was winning. Indian line should be in Indian condition: Jaiswal, Gill, Pujara, Rohit, Pant, Jurel, Jadega, Axar, Washington, Ashwin, Bumrah/Siraj For Australia,it should be: Rahul, Gill, Pujara, Rohit, Pant, Jaiswal, Ashwin/Jadega, Shardul/Washington, Akshdeep, Siraj, Bumrah. Shami should play in place of Shardul if he is fit.

Very honest interview from Gavaskar. I really appreciate it, when your team is not playing good. You should say they played bad cricket. But here was back to back blunder done by every top order batsman except very few players. I watched all three tests hoping India will bounce back, but it wasn't happened. Last three weeks were so disappointing and frustrating...😮😮😲 This was the worst experience ever from my childhood. Even when we lost the world cup2023, we had the feeling that our team had played a fantastic cricket throughout the tournament. This whitewash was a result of very bad batting, poor field placement, poor captaincy of India 😢 and the team effort of New Zealand ❤ Obviously, this team with don't deserve to be in WTC final, even they don't deserve to win a match in BGT in Australia.

Experience players are not playing domestic matches,need to be practice more and more, big worries that the same team was selected again, in test matches should play like test match not t20, that aggressive mode not good always. I don’t want this team to reach wtc final they can’t win ,,, none can play swing bowling,, they will bring embarrassment to country by not winning final 3rd time … on flat track they gave away wickets in first final in there second innings .. I can’t forget that … 2 nd final was no different.. this time bowling unit let down … with this team they can’t win in India also .., its better sa or SL vs aus final take place .., sa has better chance to win over Aussies, if they play fear less cricket .. SL will be difficult only because of there batters , there bowling unit is very good … 👍
