Corey Ian Haim (December 23, 1971 - March 10, 2010) was a Canadian actor. He starred in a number of 1980s films, such as Lucas, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. His role alongside Corey Feldman in The Lost Boys made him a household name. Known as The Two Coreys, the duo became 1980s icons and appeared together in seven movies, later starring in the A&E American reality show The Two Coreys.
Corey Haim was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Judy Haim, an Israeli-born data processor, and Bernie Haim, a clothing sales representative. He has a sister, Carol, and a half-brother, Daniel. His family is Jewish. He was raised mostly in Willowdale.
Corey appeared in 26 episodes of the early 1980s Canadian series The Edison Twins (1982). He broke into the film industry in 1984, playing a young child caught up in a family war in the movie Firstborn (1984). The following year, he starred in the TV movie A Time to Live (1985), for which he received a Young Artist Award, appeared in the comedies Secret Admirer (1985) and Murphy's Romance (1985), and had the leading role, Marty Coslaw , in the Stephen King werewolf film Silver Bullet (1985). Lucas (1986), in which he starred alongside Kerri Green and Winona Ryder, showed his acting abilities, with praise coming particularly from Roger Ebert.
In 1987, he had a breakthrough when he played one of the major roles, Sam Emerson, in Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys (1987). He later starred in the comedy films License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989), the horror movie Watchers (1988), and the science fiction action drama Prayer of the Rollerboys (1990). Many of his 1990s and 2000s roles were in direct-to-video releases, and he also had a cameo in the action film Crank: High Voltage (2009). His last two films were The Hostage Game (2010) and Decisions (2011).
He died suddenly on March 10, 2010 in Burbank, California, of pneumonia.

When I was 10 years old I loved Corey Haim so much that I wrote him a letter. I was surprised when a few weeks later an autographed picture post card arrived and he had signed my name on it. RIP Corey Haim 🙏 🕊 He was so kind and made me a lifelong fan.

I think of films like Murphy's Romance, Firstborn, Silver Bullet and Lucas showed the range he had as a actor. Then he became a teen heartthrob and did mostly lightweight roles and was pigeonholed as a teen star instead of the quality actor he was. RIP Corey❤

I visited Corey's grave in 2011 or so and I left the little CH pendant that is shown on the video (though someone has put it on a chain now, I left it inside a red plastic heart box). Just wanted to say how touched I am to see it still there. I live in the UK and made a special trip to Toronto (and all the way out of town, on a day when the trains weren't working properly and got very sunburnt on the long walk) just to visit him. Worth every second.

Aw lucky you. I'd love to meet her. I genuinely empathise with that shopping incident in beverley hills . Honestly, we can all go into a trance sometimes and lose ourselves for a moment. Ive walked out of a shop before without paying for something and the store people didn't think I was stealing , just that I was daydreaming and I said oh god, I have the money here, I don't know what I was doing. People are too quick to be judgemental. Noni seems so nice and genuine

My deepest condolences to the Haim family. I grew up with Corey in my heart and 33 yrs later still feel the same. Not because he was famous but because of the incredible sweetness and genuine heart he had. I recently watched The two Corey's and struggled with what I saw. Again felt that he was being exploited for ratings and that upset me a lot. It was clear that all he wanted was a normal life, a normal girl to love him and just to be a good person, which he already was. Cari thank you for sharing your memories with us. We all miss him so much so I can only imagine the sadness your family has endured. Corey was a truly special person. His kindness and magic on screen and off has left a lasting impression on so many and I know I will never forget him ♥️ I wish I lived close enough to lay some flowers on his grave but Canada is a long way from my home in the UK. My best wishes to the Haim family 🌷🌻🌼🥀♥️ xxxx Q@

Incredibly talented. Wish Corey was still here. He would of absolutely had a revival pertaining to his career, and I could of seen him being on shows like stranger things, and directing and putting out some amazing shows and movies via Netflix. I have no doubt about that. He was a very talented actor and most importantly, an amazing loyal, kind, generous, caring, loving man. Everyone should check out some of Cari's material. Thank you for doing this interview with Cari. It was nice to hear her viewpoints on things about Corey. I'm glad everyone in the family is doing ok and that Judy beat the cancer. I went to Corey's grave in 2011. I was lucky to have found it since it was on a Sunday and there was nobody in the cemetery office to help me with where it was. I think one of the best works Corey did was Decisions. I've been a fan of both Coreys for many years, I'm in my 40's. Take care and God bless.

Just watched the lost boys last night. I enjoyed watching this. I feel sad for alot of these child actors, most are thrown to the sidelines after they grow up. I enjoyed watching him. He seemed like a sweet kid. RIP Corey you are still remembered by lots of your fans.

'The Lost Boys' was the BEST movie of the 80's. I still watch it to this day. I still listen to the music from it. I also liked 'License to Drive' and thought it was very funny back. Good interview, thank you, I have subbed your channel.

Such an interesting and fun interview. Both parts. I really enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to seeing Cari's short film when it's available. I could definitely compete in that sport, myself :-)

Scott….both parts are so well done. You are a great interviewer and just a great kind man I appreciate you!! I’m happy she cleared up the Charlie sheen rumors.. It was so telling when you said the world lost a star but she lost her SON. WELL SAID….. as you know I too lost my son, my only child. I’m glad you made that comment. My heart and prayers go out to his mom even now. Yes its ten years later, but it NEVER goes away. Ty Scott…..
