Drama aside, I really like Tommy's drumming. This is the Tommy i've always wanted to hear. The technical snobs can bash all they want, but I think T-Bone is a solid rock n' roll groover. Fun to watch, has written some cool yet simple parts, and has plenty of swing and power in his drum sound. Really like his style, especially in Feelgood and the 1994 Crue album.

Thanks for giving him some credit there. I have been in tons of cover bands that were lucky enough to be very diverse with the set list. Crue tunes were not the easiest believe it or not. Wild Side has some cool syncopation things going on that are not exactly simple.

Truth be told...Tommy Lee has influenced so many drummers around the world!! I remember being 12yr old I’d been playing drums for about 2 yrs and watching the Wild Side video at a friends place for the first time and thinking to myself “holy shit” who is this guy?!! He’s one the greatest heavy rock drummers of the modern era without doubt and his showmanship will never equaled!! My highlight will always be his drum solo in the spinning cage on the Dr Feelgood tour... Absolutely insane 😳🤭🤟🏻

As a kid who was born in 1972 I've always loved Tommy's playing. It's a combination of old school 70's disco funk with double bass from Tommy Aldridge combined with phat beats from Bonham...then add a big pinch of hip-hop!! Beautiful ingredients!!!

One of my all time favorite drummers. Fun to watch him jamming out on the DW kit. I understand his interest for new things like the techno/ Rap drums and such but the Hooligans Holiday and smoke the sky stuff he did 25 years ago was some of his best work ever. It would be cool if he did a drumming tour from drum store to drum store. Did meet & greets and talked about drums instead of the whole Money grab tour after the Final tour bullshit. Mic drop. MM out!

I hate Tommy as a person, but he’s one of my favorite drummers of all time. His sense of rhythm is second to none. He is arguably one of the greatest rock drummers in history, and I love hearing him talk about his equipment and his actual artistry without all the drama that seems to follow him everywhere. This was definitely a cool video. Furthermore, he speaks like a true songwriter. His intent is for the purpose of the song; not showing off. That's a good, and very mature approach.

Dude, I got to talk to him at a NAMM show in 1993 or something, all to myself for almost 15 minutes. No one bugged us. Talked tattoos, his then wife's birthday as I had the same and twirling stuff. He said he used to bounce the sticks off the snare in his backyard and some would go over the fence into the neighbors yard! He would get them back in bushels, basically! He was super nice, asked ME questions about my band and so forth. Talked about how we both had a thing for blonde chicks too. Great memories.

Ground breaking drummer. He took a little bit of Alex Van Halen, Aldridge, Bonham, Appice, and Rudd and made it main stream for angry teens that wanted to get laid. It was the 80s. That music is feel good music. He designed his drum parts to make you drive a little faster, grit your teeth, and shake your fist in the air. Testosterone rock with sexual energy.

Just about every professional drummer always says Phil Rudd as one of their influencers. If you ask people who have never played drums themselves, they say a 5-year-old can play that stuff. True, but not like him. It's not what you play, it's how you play it. Professionals know how hard it is to sound like Phil.
