Tyler thinks child support is a money grab. 6. Tyler tried to throw Bri under the bus by pointing out that the ex moved because she was being abused by Bri AND in the next breath says he helped Bri aka "the abuser" get full custody of their son. Wish the interviewer picked up on this. 7. Tyler thinks that the parenting dynamics changing when the other parent gets into a new relationship is an excuse to walk away or claim you are "being pushed out". Here is MY THEORY: Bri and her ex wife didn’t have the funds for the donor and asked Tyler or Tyler volunteered. Once the ex wife left Tyler states he wants to step up and be the other parent. Bri agreed. I read somewhere he went to court to file for custody. with them being around each other in the heat of the moment they have intercourse and Bri gets pregnant with twins. They BOTH agree they will co parent because Bri is gay. Things were going fine. He goes on the show that Bri was totally rooting for him to succeed in. They were communicating well until Tyler let Ashley know about “that family.” Ashley believes him and married him. I do think Tyler left this conversation with some things sinking in. He admitted that it’s easy to avoid things but problems will continue even if they’re being avoided (in response to needing to seek a solution). And I think it really started to sit with him that he robbed himself of the ability to have a normal and traditional experience of fatherhood because of the recklessness of his youth. The seed was planted that there is no erasing the past. You can’t just get rid of everything that came before and have a blank start with Ashley. That’s not possible. You have to address it. You have to find a solution. You have to make it right. Because complications will persist even if you try to avoid or run away from them. The only way forward in life is to: accept, integrate and move forward. Will it be hard and uncomfortable - yes. But all of our actions have consequences. And he robbed himself and his wife of the chance to experience fatherhood without complications bc of the reckless choices he made in his 20s. But if they love eachother and get right counsel - they’ll figure out a way to make it right for everyone.
