Tyson beat a Klitschko who was an undefeated champion for 10 years. AJ beat a Klitschko who had no belts, was coming out from a Tyson Fury loss, and had a 2-year break where he didn't fight. AJ gets praised by his entire country while Fury gets hated by his country. Fury gets involved in a huge controversy for quoting the bible, he is then investigated by the police and get's into a deep depression for 2 years where he destroys his body with alcohol and drugs because of self-hate. Fury is three times the man that AJ will ever be, The shit Tyson Fury has been through would break a man, the fact that he lost over 100 pounds, fought through his depression, and is now back in the ring fighting for his belts that he never really lost, is respectful and you have to admire it. God Bless Tyson Fury.

As an Englishnan, I hate to say this but I still recognise Wilder as the linear champion and I'll tell you why. Lennox Lewis retired as the undisputed linear champion as the WBC champion. The vacant WBC title ( the title vacated by the linear champion Lewis) was won by Vitali Klitschko and thus he became linear champion (in retrospect to Lewis not making a comeback, in which case HE would've resumed his linear reign, had he done so). Vitali himself retired as linear (WBC) champion and did come back to resume his linear reign as well as regaining the WBC title by beating the then WBC champ Samuel Peter, who had become WBC champion by beating Oleg Maskaev for the vacant WBC title. Had Vitali (or Lewis for that matter) not come back then Peter would've continued his reign as "conditional" linear champion until the realistic possibility of Vitali Klitschko making a comeback waned. Even Vitali Klitschko's linear reign could've been "erased" if Lewis made a comeback in retrospect! When Vitali Klitschko retired for a second time as WBC and Linear Champion, the vacant WBC title (and subsequent Linear title) was won by Bermane Stiverne (against Chris Arreola), who lost the WBC and Linear titles to Deontay Wilder. To be a Linear Champion you have to be the man who beat the man who beat the man.....ideally the best, yes but not necessarily so...Tyson Fury beat Vladimir Klitschko who was considered the best....but to be linear champ there has to be a direct linage...through the boxing associatiion or council the retiring lineal champion held...and Vitali was never going to fight his brother, Vladimir. Hopefully this mess can be sorted out when the Wilder and Fury and Joshua clash.

The Whole world can see now that AJ is a Punk. Refused $80,000,000 millions guaranteed potentially $120,000,000 millions with backend money in two fights that is a different level of ducking.
@bigghago6 жыл бұрын
smh casual Warren: “It takes two to make a deal and if you really want to make a deal, you make it happen. All I know is that Anthony Joshua turned down a guaranteed $80million (£60.95m) - that’s $50million (£38m) for a purse and $30million (£23m) guaranteed for a rematch. That wasn’t the purse, that was the guarantee, it could have been much more than that.” Bellew: “It’s all well and good calling it a guarantee, Frank. But if there’s no contract then there’s nothing to sign.” Warren: “There was a contract sent. I’ve seen it so I know exactly what went down.” Bellew: “How can you see it if you’re not the promoter of them? How is that even possible?” Warren: “Because I work with Shelley Finkel, who is the manager of Deontay Wilder. That’s why we’re having negotiations.” Bellew: “He shouldn’t be showing you personal contracts and information, especially a contract that a fighter, who is supposed to be the top of the bill at heavyweight, hasn’t seen. Warren: Whether he should or he shouldn’t, you just asked a question and I’ve just told you what was in it.” Bellew: “And I’m just telling you it didn’t happen.” Warren: “You’re telling me because you haven’t seen it, whereas I know it for a fact. Bellew: “I also know for a fact that if a contract was sent for $50 million, he’d have taken it.” Warren: “Well, 100 per cent the offer was sent through, along with the guarantees, along with [US broadcaster] Showtime guaranteeing it as well.”
Warren is full of shit. The whole world knows that. He's the white Don King. Lol. You don't shoot a guy that's "looked after you" do you? Lol. As if Finkel, as Denotay's manager, would show Frank, Furys manager, his fighter contracts when Wilder and Fury could potentially be opponents further down the line. That's just not how good business is done and why it's kept private between manager and fighter. Warren is just trying to make AJ look bad. It isn't rocket science. Lol.

AMPHONY JOSHUA aka The Coward that turned down $80Million to fight Alexander Povetkin
@Xanavi236 жыл бұрын
Povetkin is the WBA mandatory challenger and AJ has to fight him in order to retain that version of the world title. The rest of these back stories don't mean anything at this stage of proceedings. Unlike most of the muppets commenting here, I've seen AJ box and he is simply one of the best heavyweights of recent times and, he will get a whole better before he steps away from the sport. I don't doubt that AJ will face Wilder, hopefully next April, and then he will look to take on each and every other ranking heavyweight who will actually get in the ring to face him. That is when Mr. Fury will have to stop talking and face the awesome reality that is Anthony Joshua!
@jasonahdjfhsdfg6 жыл бұрын
David Rose you can't seriously say that AJ is a good boxer. Hes awful, needed dodgy decisions to win in the Olympics, a rigged fight to beat Klitschko, and a dodgy points decision against Parker. He's so overrated it's unreal. Hes BMG average.
@Xanavi236 жыл бұрын
Well you're certainly entitled to an opinion and boxing is almost unique amongst sports because of the way a contest is scored. That's why we see such widely varying opinions expressed in both the 'established' media and other forums. Now I haven't seen all of AJ's fights, but I was at Cardiff to watch the Parker match and I'll be at Wembley next month to enjoy another great boxing contest. AJ is far the complete article but he is already a superb boxer. I've made a judgement based on what I been privileged to see and I believe that AJ has the potential to be even better than the great Lennox Lewis! May I respectfully suggest that you get to Wembley next month and see what is likely to be a great contest between AJ and Povetkin - this will be a very different from the Parker match.
