I haven’t listened to a lot of Ryan’s music but I don’t go around pretending I know something about his catalog like some of Ryan’s fans commenting that Tom’s songs are all about the same thing. You aren’t a fan of his music so you only pay attention when a political songs drops and then bitch that all he does is political music, which really means, I don’t listen to his music. Love, like or hate his music, it matters not to me. Something that was really brought out especially in the beginning when Upchurch posted the first track. It really showed how many people who are fans of Tom and they say things like, "I was never a fan of rap music until I listened to Tom." Which some of you might think, "aye, nothing wrong with that." But a huge portion of Tom's listeners (not all), don't understand rap battles, they just see Upchurch dropping a diss track and immediately think "oh, this guy needed some clout" or "oh, church needs mental health help". They absolutely don't like what is being said and they're going to dismiss it regardless of what it is (truth or not). Too many people (including some reactors) got in their feelings about all this and let it get the best of them. But again, this is what happens when you have a major audience like Tom's where a lot of them don't listen to rap at all until they encountered Tom. To be honest, it looks really bad when the only thing you wanna rap about is political things for shock value. Tom has tracks where he has showed he can rap about other topics, but you have to buy one of his 4 CD's in order to hear them and they will never be put on YT or spotify.. ever. These are just some things I've realized for a while now about Tom. Some may not agree and that's fine. Lastly, some people are getting tired of Tom constantly shoving his push for number 1 all the time too. Not everyone likes Tom, Not everyone like Upchurch.. others like both but they see this battle for what it is, A Battle.
