What a humble man...I have tears in my eyes as I hear him. We don't know the specifics of what happens inside the family , but nothing can justify a son treating his father in this manner.

Sadly happens in most families with the majority being in poorer families. The old adage comes to mind "Money doesn't buy you happiness". Yes as was mentioned my son would love to see me on the Roadside which happens to the majority of Indians who are from poor backgrounds. Indians also put too much emphasis on families when arranged marriages are concerned and no mention of the individuals as Senior Singahinia alluded to.

This is literally story of every rich families in india and even saidi arabia. You know chunkey pandey right? His both daughters were raised by their maids . This story is becoming true for nowadays some upper middle class indians too. Obviously these kids won't have as much attachment to their biological parents as normal indian kid. in western countries it's even worse . Parents kick their own kids once they're 18. The more rich you become the less attachments you have with your parents (Of course there are exceptions)

Extremely sharp and reflects of a man who has all the wisdom ...which unfortunately his son may not have.. only pointer is He says his son does come to see his mother....so I'm wondering if the Dad and Son had some issues which nobody except father.. mother and Son.. and maybe his daughter in law....because it's other wise unfortunate such a pioneer of the 40's can be in a state like this. .and what made him write all his wealth to his son.....even if it was a mistake...something strange in the family that nobody knows and well guarded secret...But Father sounds like just what a good family will wants..very thoughtful..and upfront yet logical ...i hope all matters will be cooled off..

I just watched this video and listened to the whole conversation with Shri.Vijaypat Singhania. It really touched my heart and in a couple of moments I could feel the melting heart of Shri Singhania especially when he said that even though Gautam Singhania had come to their house the day before and met his mother, he didn't bother to talk to Shri. Singhania or even look at him. It was also very disheartening to listen when he said that Gautam will be very happy to see Shri.Singhania on the road!!! I have never ever read or heard any real life heart burning stories as disturbing or as cruel as this one. Gautam Singhania is definitely not a normal human being. He is surely a Devil or an Animal!!! I pray to God that Gautam must lose this legal battle even he appoints the best lawyer in the country to fight this case. He should be made to live on the streets of Mumbai for the rest of his life for his cruelty towards Shri. Singhania!!! God Bless You Shri. Singhania!!!

Vijay saying - "gautam will be happy seeing me on the road", I couldn't express the pain of this statement. A COMPLETE MAN writes an IN COMPLETE (life) book, which was stopped by a so thinking self as complete man gautam singhania, is a pain. Father loves daughter in law, mother loves son, but the expression of the same by vijay is beautiful and painful. Anyway lot of pain stories but at the same time within a short span all viewers could get a valuable information like no one should enter in the ifs and buts of matured persons. Interview was so beautiful. Let God shall give vijay singhania a peaceful mind before he departs from earth.

Based on my close experiences with such happening in other big wealthy families , the advice is to make a successful company professional. Nowadays generation has no interest in legacies that would be handed over to them nor sufficient competence to manage. The best way is to create legal structures that separate management from ownership so that the legacy passes to coming generations. The biggest failing is unrealistic expectations & excessive attachment to the children.

What an magnanimous attitude this Senior Singhania's has on lifeunlike most Indians. 82 years old and still so lucid and broad minded guy. At the start of his interview just felt his criticism of his son would not be shared by his wife. And it was confirmed at the end. This is unhealthy and reprehensible bond between Indian mothers and sons is a badge of Shame, in my opinion. Am Indian born and educated but chose to live in the West. In. An all female family my grandmother often alluded to "if only I had a son". My reply was "you would be strangled and would be dumped in a corner". She never mentioned her "If" again.
