West Coast get back Redden soon, Nic Nat and Rioli back after the bye, and Barrass in about 8-10 weeks. The Eagles must win their next 3 games and sort out their overall structure. Playing average early in the season can sometimes lead to great form heading into finals when it matters. They've got time to sort themselves out but if they lose one of their next 3 games I'll be worried.

Good to see some collingwood bias. Didnt even mention the the game! They talked about the freo vs gold coast umpires that wasnt even bias and the dogs vs hawks game (none of the umpires actually caused any of the teams to lose) but they dont even talk about collingwood umpiring against essendon. If they had favoured essendon instead of collingwood they would have talked about it. Not an essendon supporter (not even close).

I agree with you, if it's something negative about Essendon they are quick to talk about it. But if it's positive they will hardly mention it at all, also Damien Barrett always talks bad about Essendon. I think Umpires in all games this year have been terrible, I don't know if it's because the AFL keep changing the rules but something has got to be done.

Why aren't they talking about how Hawthorne was missing the hustle in the first half and then they keep reverting to an overly defensive posture in the final minutes of their games. They need to start with pressure and keep pressure, otherwise it's sheer luck that they'll pull out wins like the one over Carleton. A big part of that is the ruck; McEvoy looks well and truly behind the curve with the new rules which allow the rucks to really put hands on the ball from center bounces, throw-ins and ball ups. Carleton was able to win so many balls out of the ruck, even when McEvoy got the first touch.
