Woody is a perfect example of why I think kids need to play team sports growing up. It builds character. U wont always be the best player or the power hitter. Sometimes ya job is to set other people up.... just get on base and let ya teammates hit the homerun. Homie wanted the shine but was clearly outshined by more powerful voices. "Everybody wants to be a star dont wanna be who they are".......Beanie Sigel. Woody was 1/4 of an iconic group that more or less didnt reach their full potential because of ego. Every group has a leader. Some are chosen and some rise above the rest naturally. Play ya part in the greatness.

Every group has a lead singer. Period. Even if other members sang sometimes, there was still always a lead singer. Almost every song that Woody sang made me sad. LoL But that's real. Yes Woody could sing but his voice was not like Jazz's or Sisqo's. And when it was his turn to sing or when the camera panned to him he barely moved. He didn't put on a show. He wanted to get more attention but he wasn't giving anything significantly special. Nokio didn't sing much either but he had sex appeal. The camera get on Woody and he looked uncomfortable.

Da fuck? I had no idea Woody felt he wasn’t getting enough shine. How vain. He had leads like Angel, April Showers, etc. Why he acting like he didn’t get enough shine. Hate to say this to any Woody fans, but he is a super limited singer compared to Sisqo and Jazz. That’s why everyone including songwriters and producers focused on them mostly for leads. He’s lucky songwriters thought of him enough to actually make songs tailored for his limited ass range. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great singer, but he’s limited and he don’t dance or have a hook. Sisqo had his explosive dancing and image. Jazz was like a next-gen Luther. Nokio was happy being in the background cuz he knew his place was in the harmony, the producing, and the biz. Man after I see this, I’m glad he’s gone.

Once a group hit on a winning combination that is beneficial for all of them, that's what the group and the record company is going to go with. Would they have sold as many records had they let him sing lead more. Even Sisqo, who clearly had a voice, had to sell it by putting on a show and being dynamic while performing.

He was mad he wasn't getting the attention everybody else was getting so now he wants to do gospel music so he can be the only one getting that attention. Dr Hill found some people that sing better than him so they are good!!! He wants to bring God into it just to cover for his greediness and that why we haven't heard a peep from him. Sisco and jazz were the lead singers so it didn't take long for them to replace him. He was selfish and thought he could do better without them but it didn't happen, just like Bobby Brown, he did his thing but he had to hook back up with N.E. and he knew it so I wouldn't be surprised if woody wants to rejoin Dru Hill but now they don't need him.
