Thanks for writing this, Woody. I sang this to my sweetheart the day that I asked her to marry me. She said yes. We've been happily married for 19 yrs and have fallen deeper in love than I would've ever imagined.

😍This song always put me in the mind of Stevie Wonder. I'm not surprised there is such a sentimental story behind it.

I was 15 dating this girl who was 14 and was in the same situation, I had no money to buy her a present so back in 97 or so I recorded myself singing this and mailed it to her on VHS for her bday. I love this song so much.

Dru hill was never really the same after he parted. I mean yea they still make songs that are ok. But the 1st and 2nd album was really the true dru hill. After that um they aiight . But wit all this switching members is tiresum
@Sj_blackphoenix4 жыл бұрын
Dru Hill took the strategy of the temptations. They came out with some hits, and they can keep touring and replacing members and just sing the hits. People will always remember the originals, but as long as the harmonies they were known for shine through, they will keep selling tickets easily
@Sj_blackphoenix4 жыл бұрын
@dannie curlett He left after the second album, and reunited for the third

@dannie curlett he quit the group on The set of the Wild Wild West video. If you watch the video it starts off with all of them, and then wooody left halfway through.

This key is too low for him. The recorded key is a bit higher and he likely should have done it there instead. I'm sure he still can; it's not that much higher and he wouldn't even have been 40 here. He still has that sound that's always gotten my attention. The background singing is, again, not necessary. The band was pretty shaky and got lost during his ad-libs but they get through it.
@Queen-ib2nl4 жыл бұрын
But yet, he’s still singing the music he felt “wasn’t right for him.” Hypocrite
@got2getit2044 жыл бұрын
Sorry but now i see why him an niko could never sing it's like they used him and niko getting payed for nothing so sisco and jazz are the real singers but he is a background singer that's all! And they knew that so they wasn't going to put any money into him!
@johnnymac94364 жыл бұрын
I hear why he was a back up singer. This is terrible. Period!
@ATouchOfKlass4 жыл бұрын
johnny mac no he’s not the best at for front vocally but I wouldn’t say terrible I do believe his voice is more suited for the gospel genre

Ouch...this was not good. The low notes are tough for him, and the band is terrible. Dude with the braids need to let it go, brah. Hairline gone! lol
