Exe Estuary and Dawlish fishing

Well where do I start, I went out one hot evening to a spot on the river Exe estuary at the time I was the only person there but It is such a beautiful place soon other people turned up I met some fantastic people all with stories to tell. My next attempt at fishing was with Ian (the Starcross wrasse hole) and his grandson Kenzie first at the River Exe and then Dawlish, at last lots of fish.

Many thanks for posting. Have really been tempted to get on the Exe, perhaps with some lures......some beautiful scenery going on there too. Makes it a treat getting out. Looks like you were the wrasse king that night too! Best wishes, Kev

Ragworm or crab seem to work well and just as the tide is turning; I think that lures could work it's something I will try when the water level is high I'll look into that. You're right about the scenery I didn't appreciate such nice places until I started fishing. Take care Mark.

you should have tried Teignmouth back beach with live sand eel for the bass

@@stevengleed4757 try telling the loads that fish there every day , but we dont take any undersize fish, and I release all that i catch

sand eels are banned as bait, live or dead in bass nursery areas, of which Teignmouth is one as well as the Exe estuary
