How do you communicate effectively with executives? Are there any secrets to communicating successfully with executives? It's true that communicating with executives is different to how you would communicate with your coworkers. There's a different energy in the room. They think on a deeper level. The way they speak and communicate requires a different style of communication. If you speak using this style, you'll be successful in communicating with executives. But if you stray from this style, they're likely to get bored, disinterested and you'll have no impact whatsoever!
Communicating effectively with executives isn't difficult to learn, but you do have to remember a number of "rules" to get them to listen to you. I talk about these "rules" in this video. If you want to learn how to communicate effectively with executives, tune in to hear my tips!

Kara, when I am direct, I tend to come off condescending or rude. Is this due to my inexperience? It seems I’m getting it wrong. Thanks for your help!

How much good you are at a certain point ..it become clear when you attend a meeting with executive And put a certain point on a particular topic appreciated by everyone ..some time it happen you try to clear out your thoughts but due to certain mismatch in your thoughts with other thoughts they don't get you at that time always speak slowly And try to make the point clear to other so that they have a clear view about you ...

Yes, you need to turn on the cc yourself. At the bottom of the video, there should be an option to do that. I'm glad my videos are helping you Manuel!

Terrible terrible advice here. Speak to impact not to impress. This is a rookie mistake and is career suicide if you follow it.

I think it depends on what type of organization you work in. If it’s obsolete and dated in terms of leadership culture then you are right. If it’s a more modern and updated where leaders are leaders based on their abilities vs “fake it until you make it” then you want to seek for impact. I work for a top 5 company in the world and leadership can sniff out those who try to only impress without impact.
