Execution of Josef Blösche - Extremely Sadistic Nazi Butcher of Warsaw Ghetto & His Bestial Crimes. Josef Blösche was a Sudeten German which was a name for ethnic Germans that lived in Czechoslovakia. In 1933 Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party came into power in Germany.
In 1935, Josef Blösche joined the Sudeten German Party which was a major pro-Nazi force in Czechoslovakia with the explicit official aim of breaking the country up and joining it to the Third Reich.
In the night from the 29th to the 30th of September 1938, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, and France signed the Munich agreement, by which Czechoslovakia was forced to surrender Sudeteland, its border regions and defenses, to Nazi Germany. German troops started to occupy these regions between the 1st and 10th of October 1938.
On the 13th of January 1939 Blösche applied for admission to the Nazi party and was admitted retrospectively to the 1st of November 1938. Soon after he joined the SS.
On the 15th of March 1939, less than 6 months after the annexation of the Sudetenland, Nazi Germany invaded and occupied the Czech provinces of Bohemia and Moravia and one day later Adolf Hitler, by a proclamation from Prague Castle, established the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia which by contrast to the Sudetenland, consisted mostly of ethnic Czechs.
The Second World War started on the 1st of September 1939 with the invasion of Poland. Warsaw suffered heavy air attacks and artillery bombardment and German troops entered the capital on 29th of September shortly after its surrender.
The campaign in Poland ended on the 6th of October the same year with Germany and the Soviet Union dividing and annexing the whole of the country.
Blösche briefly served in Warsaw beginning in March 1940 and was then deployed 120 kilometers east of the capital patrolling 6 miles of the Bug River which was the dividing line between German Wehrmacht and Soviet Red Army zones.
This border no longer existed from Sunday, the 22nd of June 1941 when Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of the Soviet Union, started.
The 3,000 personnel of four Einsatzgruppen were sent to the Eastern Front to kill the Jews and Gypsies, as well as Soviet political commissars. From August 1941 Blösche served with Einsatzkommando 8 which was assigned to the Einsatzgruppe B responsible for mass shootings in Belarus.
In mid-1942, Joseph Blösche was again transferred, this time to the Warsaw ghetto. German authorities had decreed the establishment of a ghetto in Warsaw on the 12th of October 1940. The decree required all Jewish residents of Warsaw to move into a designated area, which German authorities sealed off from the rest of the city in November 1940.The population of the ghetto, increased by Jews compelled to move in from nearby towns, was estimated to be over 400,000 Jews. German authorities forced ghetto residents to live in an area of 1.3 square miles, with an average of 7.2 persons per room.
With his SS comrade Heinrich Klaustermeyer, Blösche would ride a bicycle into the ghetto and beat and shoot men, women and children at random, just to terrorize them.
Josef Blösche, who became known as “Frankenstein” and the “ Butcher” was not only a sadist but also a sexual deviant.
On the 19th of April 1943, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began after the German troops and police entered the ghetto to deport its surviving inhabitants to the forced labor camps in Lublin district.
According to his own statements, Josef Blösche shot 75 of approximately 600 victims of the massacre in the ghetto on the 19th of April 1943, the same day the uprising began.
The Germans ended the operation on the 16th of May when Jürgen Stroop, who led the suppression of the uprising, announced in his daily report to Berlin that “The former Jewish Quarter in Warsaw is no more.”
In April 1969 he was put on a trial. Numerous witnesses called Blösche a sadist and recalled the crimes he had committed in Warsaw.
On the 29th of July 1969 Josef Blösche was found guilty of the murder of over 2,000 Jews and the deportation of 300,000 Jews to the extermination camps and sentenced to death. Blösche was executed in Leipzig the same day by a single shot to the back of his neck.

Thank you for this video. I'm Polish and from Warsaw. I saw this monster on various photos and I was thinking to myself "I hope justice caught up with him". Thank God it did. I hope this creature is rotting in hell now. This photo with the boy I have in front of my eyes every time I think of what was going on in my city not that long ago. I hope that all the victims are in a much better world right now. It also makes me sad that a very large part of Polish society (Jews) are not amongst us anymore. For me we will always remain brothers and sisters who struggled together through these sick times. On one hand I'm thankful to God I live in the current times, on the other hand though, a part of me would want to be there and help as much as I can... Long live Poland, long live Jews and all good people around the entire world!

*That is a nice story but, unfortunately, the people in this photograph were found hiding in a cellar during the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto and were marched to the Umschlagplatz and deported to Majdanek extermination camp or Treblinka. Blösche was the only person in the photograph who could be identified with certainty. More recently, four others have become known but the frightened boy with raised hands remains unknown.*

@@jean6872 i'm sure that applying AI (artificial intelligence) software on large sets of photos from that era, could help very much in finding individuals and recognizing them. This would remove uncertainties like in the case of the people in the photograph that is referred to here. It would also help in identifying bodies found in crashed airplanes of all nationalities. Those airplanes and their occupants are still being located and found today in continental Western Europe! Hoping that various international institutions and governments, like the RIOD in the Netherlands, will start using AI for that benefit.

@@WorldHistoryVideos Ok, here’s more. The background music is a wonderful choice; melancholy and poignant. The rapid-fire information debrief is brilliant; the repitition of pertinent information as it relates to different topics is thoughtful, and enhances memory. The visual production is well done; the captions on still photos add another layer of perspective. I watch each video at least twice, making sure to pause and read the captions. The many pictures of the victims, each with their vital information and personal story… is both touching and chilling. The writing is concise, brutal, and elegant. The author feels warmth, empathy, and respect for each victim, while emasculating everything Nazi. All tied together by narrator(s) that strike the perfect chord… true compassion for the victims, cold disgust for Nazi perpetrators. The last line, said with austere indifference ‘There were no tears shed for… (insert bastard Nazi)‘ is so cold, mean, and deserved. Thank you for so eloquently keeping the victims in our collective memory, while so pointedly twisting daggers in Nazi scum.

We really do have true compassion for the victims, our relative was a prisoner at Auschwitz as well ,he then went on a death march to Mauthausen but thanks God he survived the war ... @@WorldHistoryVideos Your videos immediately caught my eye, as the thumbnails are aesthetically appealing. I was at first struck by the quality and quantity of information. The writing is truly superb, full stop. As a WW2 nerd, I was immediately hooked purely by the content. The research is done so well that the context and gravity of these historical episodes is truly understood; these atrocities did not occur in a historical vacuum, they happened to very real people that were simply leading their peaceful lives when they were caught up in an unremitting flood of evil. You manage to bring that home to your viewers, with a brutal eloquence befitting the horror. This is the only channel that rivals Dr. Felton, in my opinion. The concise information, detailed histories, and entertainment value combine to make a very interesting, compelling, and comprehensive appraisal of these long-forgotten events. I don’t have any constructive criticism to offer. Your team does each facet of video production so well, that even a picky person like myself can’t find any faults. These people could be my family or friends, though I know most are beyond this world now. I and some friends in junior high school became fascinated by Hitler in the late 1960's, but as I began to eagerly study WW2, I read many books of first-hand accounts of the camps. Any fascination for Hitler became utter horror and rage. The poisons of fascism swirl around in various parts of the world even now. Beware anyone who degrades, dehumanizes, or oppresses others!

Yeah.. one of the most haunting parts to me is that you can see in some of the people horribly starved and abused, they still have hope and happiness in them somehow. People that go through stuff like that are usually the nicest and most giving people.. I guess in some it just reenforces their thinking of why being that way is a bad idea, which of course is bad in of itself.

They did a similar thing but even worse to Rudolph Hoss, the commandant of Aushwitz. First they whipped and beat him with HiS OWN WHIP for days, then they put him up on trial in Nuremberg, found him guilty, and hung him back in his own Aushwitz concentration camp that he was head of. They also scattered his ashes in an unknown grave, befitting of such an evil sadistic monster.

These videos are so important, as far-right, often racist, ideologies are again gaining ground around the world we should all look at these wonderful and terrible videos so we can all remember the danger of such ideologies. The contemporary movie clips, when watched in combination with the brilliant narration, are harrowing. The final “there were no tears for xxx” or, occasionally “there were many tears for xxx” says it all. A final judgement on terrible times. May we never see such things again!

Is that comment supposed to explain this, or make me more sympathetic? Just because one has the capacity to terrify, torture, rape and murder does NOT give one license to do so. And the State has NO LEGITIMACY to give such illegal license. Fun fact: the Nazi government understood this, and could not force its soldiers, lest a refusal lead to a court-martial that would have to be deferred to an open civil court, and such illegal orders be publicly revealed. All you apologist types, put THAT in your "I vas yust following orders" pipe, and smoke it.

Killing of 6 millions plus innocent Jewish people and others was the most horrific tragedy! Never be silent when cruelty occurs! Never doubt good people but the enemy.
