You did not mention how some quality which is otherwise perceived as positive can be someone's shadow as well. For example: if someone grows up in an abusive environment, they may grow up to see love and care as a sign of weakness and therefore unacceptable. Thus, their shadow self may include love and care instead of agression. Other than that, I liked the video very much and I love your books.

Into sports and achieving things. For example, I’m learning German. Over the past six months I’ve said to myself. I’m learning German or i will die. Another example about 4 years ago I had a Chinese midterm I didn’t study for a university. I looked at and I didn’t know anything. I told my self, “I don’t, pass this test. I’ll fail and have to go back to the ghetto. I will become nothing.” This fear was all I needed to silence the English voice in my head.

Please do more videos regarding this topic. We all have these emotions but self control is crucial. Proverbs 16:22 says; The one slow to anger is better than a mighty man. And the one controlling his temper than one conquering a city.

when i was child i had expectations form my parents to be a good kid ,and i showed respect and pleased everyone as much as i can .many people know me for that during my childhood, but when i had alone moments i had uncontrollable feelings that kept popping out i cry ,burst out with anger ,i felt others were better than me when it became overwhelming i started drawing arts ,listening to music and i also created my own wierd hand game 😂.., anyways that gave me relief and i enjoyed it went this way productively

I know I probably don't need to say this to a guy like you Rob but NEVER stop doing the work that you do because you truly are changing lives. I grew up as someone with a chronic lack of guidance and though I was able to keep out of jail there are still things I feel as though I'm lacking. Your works have helped me find paths to certain truths that I would have never found in my family or peer group. Thank You for giving me the gift of imparted wisdom.

It so true, whenever I'm jokingly rude, I get belly laughs from people and I belly laugh when someone else is, provided it was actually funny. I think it's because it's never really just a joke but a connection to each others' dark side. Just like Robert said, we love the expression of the dark side, when it's not hurting anyone.

I first stumbled upon your lesson on the shadow some years ago. I was already starting to develop the understanding of its importance but your books saved me so much time and from potential mistakes. I have been dancing with the darkness inside me for so long that it has become second nature. I have transformed into a machine of destruction, into a spawn of blackness. With this much power in my hands I am able to move forward, to create a life that will allow me to blossom as the God of my realm. The best version of myself. I truly have never been happier as now the Light and Shadow inside me have become eternal lovers. Thank you!

You are absolutely right about power man! I just always wanted it but my weak self could never accept it. And also I agree with you on the fact that mastery gives you the ultimate power. And once you develop mastery, you can also enjoy side politics. And enjoy The Game! Politics without mastery would give you hollowness inside in spite of success but politics and understanding of human nature along with mastery will make you a God among men.

Gonna use this comment as part of my reflection. For me, as a very young child until I was maybe 8 ish, I was very indifferent to my peers and would take whatever i wanted. Whether it was toys at nursery/school or even food at McDonald's. My mum recalls me just going up to other kids and hitting them because I wanted what they have for myself. Anyways, my was mum is pretty strict in raising us, not in horrible way but she wouldn't let behaviour like that just slide. Eventually I learnt to treat everyone with respect and now days I'm the complete opposite. I'm incredibly patient and also nice to everyone. I wouldn't say I'm a people pleaser because I don't go out my way to do things for other people but I'm not confrontational unless I really need to be. However, I do let minor things slide more than other people would and I would rather be liked and than disliked. One thing that hasn't changed throughout all this is my indifference towards other people. When people tell me their problems or issues, I act like I care and I give great advice even at times because I want to be seen as helpful. But really I just lack empathy, things only invoke a emotional reaction from me if there's a chance it could impact me directly.

I mostly channel it through hobbies . Esp ambition to get one out of ten hobbies as a business, relaxing task, physical etc . Last time i acutally let out my manipulative side and agression its mostly treated as a weapon "Use responsibly" even took note from your books stragegies of war and 48 laws of power . Used it before and as much as it feels good i gotta move on use a diffrent strategy esp mending habbits to the actual projects , goals i want . Ive recently cut off a toxic person with no closure or he will toss his negativity ...many people who met or heard of me called me intimidating so using that in personal reputation for my benifit then when they really got to know me they think "Huh! *My name* isnt really that bad as they say" . Many times played gullaible just to see what makes other people tick then see if their character to e freinds , network conections or enemies without getting hurt like the times of pre teen and early teens

Robert, so the goal is to redirect/transmute /focus the dark energy into something potentially productive rather than letting it out freely with no other intention or suppressing? Metaphorically speaking, do not poop on a side walk, take it somewhere where your poop can become fertilizer? How to catch yourself JUST BEFORE the dark side fuel needs to be redirected and how stop suppressing it and start expressing it in a productive way for all? Thank you.

When you realize that we all embody both "good" AND "bad", you start seeing the world as a wise adult. You can view yourself (and others) as a whole, real human being, instead of forcing everything into black or white, all or nothing extremes, which is an immature / primitive psychological defense mechanism called "splitting" and is more commonly seen in people with severe personality disorders. The fact of the matter is, bad people can and do do good things sometimes, and good people can and do do bad things sometimes. Very, very few people are "all good" or "all bad". We're all very unique and complex and context-dependent. We all have a shadow self, we all have a "dark side"; qualities that we're ashamed of, afraid of... But regardless of how we feel about these parts, we DO have them. We can't "destroy" them. We surely can't repress them. Everything that's in our shadow gains power over us, as it's outside of our consciousness and we can't then control it. Accept your "bad" parts, gain total power and control over your whole self

How would you know it's your dark energy that's being channelled into these productive activities? Could it not just be regular energy, with your shadow still unconscious and/or repressed and there to bite as soon as there's a trigger? I'm not convinced shadow energy can be transmuted. The only thing you can do with it is face it, let it hurt you, find acceptance and then be a better person who practices daily not doing the things you know will hurt you again.
