My knee clicks every time I lunge (no pain or discomfort), it does this every other step when I run as well. Is this normal, or is there something I should be doing differently?

clicking isn't unusual. If there's no pain or discomfort I wouldn't worry. Likely it's just lubrication of your knees and it's almost certainly not bone on bone clicking.

Two questions please 🙋‍♂️ It looks like your knee does not touch the floor, is that correct? Have never done this exercise before until today with 5 pound dumbells, 3 x 10, and wow my hamstrings are shaking! Does that mean my legs are in horrible shape? Excellent video by the way!

It's ok if they touch it's just wise to not impact hard. I tend to be of the habit of not touching. But also don't use this as a reason to avoid the range of motion. Stepping from a slightly elevated surface into a deficit helps for this

And thank you so much. If you're doing something new it's going to make you struggle and feel sore. So you're doing more than ok. Ease in and gradually increase load and difficulty week over week.
