Just got one yesterday and feel the same. I've got dumbbells, barbell, a pullup bar, bands, kettlebells, all kinds of home stuff but I've missed my lat pulldowns and cables in general. I didn't even know these things existed! Sooooo excited!

For a beginner I would say each exercise 3x sets 12 reps!

Pulldowns probably should be done kneeling upright. Like the chin-up world-record-setters at Infinity Wola do.

Question, when you put the pulley on the bottom and do upward lifts, do you need to put 2x the weight to reach your target weight? The pulley moves upwards so the weight only moves half the distance? Is that how it works?

With this kind of set up…NO! For glute kick back you will need the cable coming from a lower angle and its would not be possible in this set up

He’s slow and controlled. The faster you go (dependent on the weight used) the cables will shake/sway/bounce.
