In all honestly, this is the realest episode we’ve gotten. I think both Thato & Buhle are mostly hurt because they lost their best friends more than anything and that’s what we mourn most with break ups.. the fact that the very first person you’d share things with is no longer your go to person. I think I didn’t realize how much we needed #DefiningBreakUps up until I saw Buhle and Thato. We get into relationships and send our persons their KZbin videos on the next adventure we want to take with our partners. Then we break up with our partners and it feels like no one in the KZbin space has experienced such heart wrenching feelings. But even our faves hurt too, and even when “moving on” they still are healing at the same time. And healing is not linear.

This episode really got me emotional and hit different because I am also going through a break up after 5 years of being with the same person, my bestfriend. Its been a couple of months 'now but I still fight the urge to call him everyday, I have no one to talk to about my day or what I'm struggling with. I have no one to validate my feelings, no one to call after a drunk night, I miss all the things I didn't think mattered when we were still together. It really hurts everyday, almost feels like grief it's just a never ending heart ache. I hope everyone going through this finds the healing they need to move on because that's the most difficult part. Being alone after sharing most parts of your life with someone else and relying on them for the simplest things like handling your emotions....now after all of that you really just have to start all over again, find yourself again, learn how to be independent or how to be yourself without needing anyone else, it's so crazy cos I think I'm too much for myself too and there's just so much work to do on my side before even considering getting into another relationship and that's the worst part😭. I have to face my demons ALONE, everyday, its just so exhausting man, everyday!!

Ke a gowa it's not Twitter no one will fight me but I hear this people I recently went through a break up. There is gossip I want to call him, I was on the phone with this person till 2am daily and we would be walking ghosts at work but I love it now I have insomnia I can't even call him. We had plans, routine, we used to go to church together, we have friends in common. Everything is hard after a break up. The streets are wild too also don't feel like re introducing myself and telling someone what my favorite color is. Iam crying as I type this. Ending a relationship is not easy. Love and light to everyone going through it, everyone brave enough to let go when it was not working ❤️

It's really hard not to water your feelings down in the process of digesting something. I never really have the words in the heat of the moment, I tend to want to think things through and understand why I'm feeling the way I'm feeling before I even mention it. It takes time to get to a safe space with someone, a space where you can say what you felt in the moment, even if you may not feel it anymore, but it's important to say it all out. It's important for both parties to realise that when one person comes to you to talk about their feelings, something that made them unhappy, it's not that they're looking for a fight or to blame you for being a problem, they just want to be heard and for you both to see how you can tackle the problem together. And sometimes one person may need to do the adjustments, but it doesn't take away from the end goal, you both being happy and not having to guess where you stand with each other.
