A strange hobby is change ringing when I think about it. Often wonder why I like I The longest peal I rang was Yorkshire Major at Crewkerne in August 2011, it took 3hrs 20 mins and I thought it would never come round. The Exeter ringing is good, I looked at the peal board, 4hrs 27 minutes, I admire anyone ringing it, I can only imagine trying to turn in 72cwr of tenor and thinking anything over 2 ton is a beast.

Rang back to back peals recently, the first 3h4 in the evening and 3h51 the next morning. It now occurs to me that it's hard to explain why I want to do this to myself.

@davros_adl8155 My old man hated peals evd. Though a peal at our home tower would only take 2 hrs 40 minutes. He used to take the clock down so he had no idea how long . If im enjoying the ringing on good bells and good ringing then I don't mind. I think when you are ringing it means you forget about the past and the future, you are in the here and now so wonderful mental therapy.

THESE SOUND SIMILAR TO YORK MINSTER ALSO WHY IS YOUR CAMERA PLAYING IN SLOW MOTION?
@timmeh15077 жыл бұрын
It isn't, because these bells are so big they are also slow-turning as you can hear.

These sound nothing like York Minster. These have more of a grand and rich sound, whilst York sound more mellow and joyous to listen to.
