Thanks for watching my video. Note I always wear gloves and the parts where I wasn't wearing them is because it's a severe pain setting up the cameras, and they're is alot of stop starting setting things up (often 5 "takes" before it's right! .... As soon as the shots were done the gloves go back on. Thanks for watching please drop the video a "thumbs up" will be really appreciated. Hope you enjoy the video😊

Hi Steve, A great honest review.👍 I have ridden the XL750A Transalp and I really liked it a lot. 😊 So much so, I'm gonna be trading in my 2018 CRF1000L Africa Twin for one very soon...I managed to get a great deal with both the packs fitted, plus the quickshifter, top box/panniers, centre stand, heated grips, higher screen, spot lights, radiator protector, and 12v adaptor socket. All for £11499.00 and they gave me £6500.00 for my AT. 👌

I like the new Transalp & I did own the 2005 650 Transalp of which I loved apart from the seat for all day comfort, I found it the only niggle with the bike! If the new one had DCT & Cruise Control then I would have to rob a bank to get one in my garage asap, but then I suppose Honda think that they wouldn’t sell many £20.000 CRF1100L’s because it wouldn’t be needed (over kill.) What a shame we can’t have a middle weight bike with all the toys 😢 I recon they would sell millions of em, a bit like the C90 in its day but hay ho we get what they give. Keep up the good work E.R 👍🏻 Ride Safe Ride NC DCT Dave & Butty Bach 🙂
@exeterrider8 ай бұрын
Thanks Dave, i think if I lost my NC ,then this would be near the top of the list...I do wonder if they will make this into a DCT...I think they have room and as you say the Africa twin is superb but its a little OTT for most of us....from what I hear they have sold very well already . Thanks for your time watching: )

It’s not the best looking bike in the world, I don’t like the square view from the riders seat, but you wouldn’t buy this bike for its looks, you’d buy it for the ride and practicality. Like you said, it’s an Honda, it’ll probably go live longer than us 💪 I tell you what it’s got a mighty roar hasn’t it 💪 The quick shifter is a great addition, not even necessary on a bike like this but I love that Honda included it. Are you saying your mate wasn’t doing motorway speeds 😉😂 Again grab handles, simple, but something that is not being added to bikes these days so another great addition for me. I love all the locations mate, quality editing and camerawork. I tell you what, it’s just an honest motorcycle isn’t it, enough power, decent suspension, capable of just about anything 💪 Great video mate, hope you and the family are well

Give me a bike for all seasons that is easy to live with and enjoyable to ride. Transalp truly is the Swiss army knife of motorcycles. I know because I had the original 1988, 600 and a 2009, 700. Both totally dependable, reliable and a joy to own. The new one will prove to be the same with a little more fire in its belly. Mine arrives end of this month. Yipee! Can't wait. Yours truly excited. I've not ridden one but you mentioned no drawbacks you could think of, the only one for me is the tubed wheels and that's just down to past experience. Also the price hike over the hornet seems steep, £6,999 vs £9,499 but I guess it's down to what the market will bear.
@exeterrider8 ай бұрын
In the end I mentioned the screen was too low and mention the tubed tyres. You can't beat tubeless for sure-should anything blowout but the screen was the bigger one for me. . £1500 is a lot more than the Hornet, but I do think you are getting a lot more bike in my opinion, that does more and is far better for touring in comfort. Tubeless would have been nice for sure mate yes.

Seems like a good tourer/gravel road bike. A bit too heavy (for me and my kind of riding i think) Not to say that someone younger and fitter couldn't make it work on the lanes. It'll be interesting to see if it can break the T7's stranglehold on the market for that class of bike. It ought to, it's got similar weight and a bit more power. Good review! 👍

Hi Dave....ahem.....Steve. You had me a bit excited there as you were testing the bike for town riding. It looked like you were about to stop off and get some more novelty bedroom attire for a moment there ! 🥰 Once I'd recovered from that initial disappointment, I thoroughly enjoyed your very thorough review. Hi to Tobe, he did a great job summarising the pillion passenger experience, the boy's a natural 👍🏻 He seems very comfortable on a bike, appears to have no fear whatsoever. Mind you, having seen "Dave" in his speciality gear, I suppose anything after that is a piece of cake ! You forgot to mention the bit where on the final day with the Transalp you left the lights on deliberately, just to flatten the battery nicely before Freddie Dobbs got the bike 😂 Maybe that will come in another episode 🤷♂ As you know, I do adore this new Transalp and if I were in the market for a touring bike, this would definitely be near the top of my list. A V-Strom like SB73's would be another appealing option, if I wanted to save a few quid ( which of course I would. The clue is in the name ! ). Anyway, nice review Steve and Toby. All the best from rural France, El Outry and Rubo

Ha, never been in one of "those shops" I may make a video sometime on the local. Toby and Jed are great to have and take a big interest in the different bikes and if they are not featured then it means they really didn't like riding on it such as the Zero SRF as example. Yes I set the bike up for Freddie, I though I charged it but guess not : ) It's a heck of a bike , quite high mind but with you're fitness levels ,you could back flip onto it I reckon. The advantage to eating frogs legs everyday for breaky I guess... I'm just about to watch you're vid now ?arrreba dergie ? to you and the cat
