Why do you have to use this through Kontakt? Can't you just use it as a standalone plugin?

It's how it was built, as a kontakt instrument. You don't have to buy kontakt to use it though, it works with the free kontakt player, but it doesn't work as a standalone

If you have the full version of kontakt i think it's theoretically possible. From a practical standpoint it's more about getting quick vocal sounds. If you are using your own voice it might be better to put it directly into kontakt or a different sampler and add effects.

I’m not sure if Exhale has a demo version. Signal by Output I believe has a light version that is free (it has a comparable workflow). If you download the Output app you should be able to see what they have available for demo/free :)

I believe you have install the "Output Hub" to download and install it. Exhale works with Kontakt so you might need to download the "Kontakt Player" for free from Native Instruments as well. here is the support page for Exhale on Output's website support.output.com/support/solutions/1000132583

because of how the sound quality would get worse, it's not meant to be extended up or down down. you can change the key of the loops by pushing the key button on the top right next to the macros button. if you have the full version of kontakt you might be able to edit it but i wouldn't recommend, sorry can't be more help
