@@luimobilefixes5279For sure. I thought borla was definitely louder. Chokemaster was 1st start. Borla was second. Ill never again put a Flowmaster on any of my vehicles. Best thing for these 3rd gen 5.3s are a muffler, resonator, and the 3rd cat deleted. Sounds beautiful. Especially with a 6.2 intake, trottle body, air intake and a tune. I gained almost a 100hp and over 100ftlbs of torque.

I had Borla on my 2004 Gto. Its not as loud as most brands but i feel lift it has a more subtle yet a bit exotic feel compared to others. Tone over db 100%

Clearly this video highlights the Borla. The flowmaster #1 section is quick and low idle. Engine already warm from homeboy showing up at buddies house to film. The Borla is not only closer to the Mic, but the truck was probably the homeowner who had a cold truck fast idle. Great comparison! Now i have no idea what’s better !

The Borla Atak on the GMC sounds so much better than the flowmaster on the Chevy. IMO and from my own experience, Borla and Corsa are the best exhaust for GM trucks. However, they also cost quite a bit more, which is expected due to the better materials used, and like most things, you get what you pay for. The price point makes Flowmaster a viable option, but if you want the best sound and performance, you have to drop extra dough and go for the Borla exhaust.

If you live in the north where they use salt. Borla is definitely the better option. My flowmaster super 40 stainless on my old truck lasted about 2 years. Was leaking around the welds of the muffler.

Borla makes them to fit just about every GM truck model. I have it on my Sierra crew cab. In fact, if you want to pay the extra dealership money, GM offers the touring model from the factory new. I got my Atak aftermarket. Much cheaper.

Unless for an eye-opening sportscar ,loud exhausts suck. I have a 2016 Silverado double cab,5.3L rwd. The Borla Touring is absolutely the best sounding exhaust for a daily driven mostly pavement usage tr ruck. It's not nearly as loud as the ATAK system but it makes the same hp gain ( very small ) and it has a nice growl when pressed,near stock quietness at warm idle. The Flow master is also decent also but it's only advantage over the Borla is price point. It's not as well made and has lesser quality steel but it has more possibilities it just depends on what you want the truck to do but for a stock small block late model V8, the Borla touring or S type is absolutely one ,if not the best exhausts there is. Don't get me wrong though, if I had to choose a great exhaust for a 5.0 Foxbody, Flow master American thunder is king.

Hey guys just My opinion. First of all i own the Same Truck and color in the Silverado . Now im doing a resto. On a 68 mustang.was Gunna go with a super 44 Flowmaster with Hooker heads. But after hearing the Borla my God in this comparison its not even close. The Silverado sounds like my wifes Equinox. Im taking in cold starts etc. But if you like the flowmaster here in this situation. It Sounds factory just saying.
