Basically, go for TR for a deeper tone and slighly quiter. And go with R for a more aggressive and louder sound. My personal pick for that truck would be the Rs but I would add a X or H pipe to clean up the tiny bit of rasp.

I have yet to have a customer choose a TR over a R series at my shop in the last 6 or so years.... I don't even order the TR anymore

Have to go with the R on this one. I’m a big fan of Carven mufflers. Loved the one on my 2017 Hemi Ram. 😊

Just a heads up, All the mufflers were installed backwards, They are directional and on the the carven site. Inlet is on the logo side.

On these 2 vehicles the R sounded deeper and less "clapping," on the drive-off. Vote for the R. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

Just picked up a TR to put on my CTS sedan. Couple of months ago I just did a muffler delete and left the resonator on (after seeing the CTS on Here E.A's do the same. You guys ROCK !! It soundsed really good but liked that Carven TR Sound. I Haven't had one yet ( on Any of my cars) so throwing it on there and doiñg a resonator Delete also. Ill ride that around awhile, Varoomm

R is way to raspy no one understands that these DOHC V8s sound wildly different than a cam in block engine the TR sounded good

Yes! Completely agree! I love my 5.7, but it’s not like the pushrod small block v8’s I grew up with hearing with the classic FM 40/44’s. To each their own, but this type of muffler really lets the low-tolerance DOHC sing like it should (IMO).
