Always loved the deep resonant tone of the Magnaflow that opens up perfectly when you hit it without being obnoxious while cruising. Having one put on my Dodge today actually. I had a Magnaflow with a 3” single in, 2 1/2” dual out on my V10 F-250 and the thing sounded like a Lambo Guilardo!! It sounded amazing!! So obviously it’s the Magnaflow for me in this comparo. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

After I had the Magnaflow set up of 2 - into one 3” pipe - into the Magnaflow - out into dual 2 1/2” pipe out the back under the bumper with two 6” long 3” diameter chrome tips (all welded perfectly and the guy nailed the positioning spot on), I opted to install a cold air intake and the sound difference was absolutely DRAMATIC!!! Holy SH*T was there a noticeable change to an even deeper more beautifully resonant tone!! Huge smile maker, lol!! 😁😁😁 Here is the TLDR for details sake (if not familiar, that’s Too Long, Didn’t Read, lol) just in case anyone reading wants to get the same excellent results. 👍🏻 I did a pretty good amount of research on cold air intake systems and studied which design made the most logical sense that the predominant air intake would be channeled from a true cold air source. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 with the 4.7L V8. The Airaid MXP design places that intake snorkel right into the forward most area of the passenger fender well above the inner fender shield right where the air is directed upward from under the vehicle. The filter box is an open design with the rubber blocking trim across the top and it actually does go right up close and into the hood to stop hot engine bay air from getting into box bery effectively. I opted for the dry filter instead of the oiled version and I can absolutely attest to the fact that, for one, definitely YES, the properly designed open top cold air intake set up absolutely makes a noticeable difference in a few areas of performance. For one, I am experiencing a little over 2MPG’s better since installing the Airaid MXP, and secondly, the throttle response is A LOT quicker and I can unquestionably feel the much smoother and shorter ramp up in low speed to mid speed acceleration. It was a very satisfying discovery when I hit the gas running up an on ramp to the highway. But one of the most immediately noticeable changes was the massive change to and absolute ROAR coming out of the Magnaflow exhaust!! You seem familiar with that signature deep resonance that comes out of the Magnaflow and I gotta tell you, the amplification of that resonant roaring tone is dramatic and sound SO damn sweet!! It makes that stock 4.7L sound like a damn big block that has been given some love around the engine bay. It was a very cool thing to hear as soon as I fired up the truck. But good God was it even MORE cool hearing that roar become even deeper and so much more broad sounding when I ran it up hard up the on ramp. If you have the Magnaflow exhaust, DEFINITELY check out the Airaid MXP model specifically. That design and the fact that they used an ABS type intake tube material and not a metal version like aluminum makes a really big difference. Polished aluminum looks cool, but if you are wanting more of the noticeable performance, def pass on the shiny pipe. The metal brings quite a bit of heat into the airflow once that thing warms up. Just the nature of the material that actually cancels out the benefits of the cold air concept all together. Hope that was helpful my friend!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Corsa sounds badass but I think it’s to much for the limited ram. That’s a luxury truck and it shouldn’t sound so sinister . that’s just my opinion cause I have the limited 19 also and I think they shouldn’t be that loud maybe a just a resonator delete with a moderate muffler. Fancy trucks should stay fancy. But it sounds badass though maybe on like a rebel it’ll be awesome.
