Almost picked one up back at the beginning of 2020. Dude said the car had 6k miles on it, ODO showed 6k miles, Carfax showed well over 100k. You can't trust anyone's word with these vehicles because the ODO follows the gauge cluster, not the car. Needless to say I called the guy out on it and he swore he had no idea.

Man I tell you there are a lot of haters out there if I want to say that this guy's shop is the best in the United States I have a right to say that and I do get out quite a bit I've seen thousands of shops in my time and I'm relatively Young just because the shop is all high tech and fancy doesn't mean that they're the best in the business for what I see exhaust addicts does a fantastic job at every exhaust they do it all depends on what your preference is

@@harrishustle it’s not a catback system. A well known muffler shop in Houston retro fitted me a set of mufflers onto my GTO because there wasn’t a system made specifically for the GTO and i wanted the atak.

That GTO isn't even a Pontiac, it's a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia with a Corvette engine unlike the original GTOs that we're real Pontiacs.

Lord knows this was/is better than the GM econo boxes with extra cladding! I'd sell my wife's left kidney for a 60s GTO, but decided the safer bet was to get a 4th gen TA. 🤷‍♂️ Yes, it has the corporate LS instead of a Poncho motor, but still makes good noises!

They make a few less hp, at WOT, on a 1000hp engine. On this making half the hp, not at WOT most of the time, it's not restrictive at all. It's not a Thrush Turbo which is about the worst "performance muffler" you can buy.

@@saltycanadian6190 They were all straight through mufflers and they were very close considering all factors. The older muffler test on the 500-ish hp engine, that was closer to what you'd see on a common street car. The Thrush Turbo made 529hp, and the Cherry Bomb Salute (one of the cheapest Borla copies) made 560hp, and that's a difference you'll feel on the street and it'd be a bigger difference the higher in power you go. That's about a 5% increase from the restrictive Thrush to the straight through Cherry Bomb. So basically the difference between 2 straight through mufflers like these is negligible in an application like these. The ProXS is made for keeping the sound mild but not being restrictive, he should've gone for the S-type, Atak or XR1 if he wanted a loud Borla.

Actually, Pontiac didn't make the GTO. Holden made the Monaro. GM brought it over and rebadged it as the GTO. And the car definitely isn't trash. The interior had all the bells and whistles to give it some luxury, and it was easily modified by simple bolt-on parts to make it go faster. It was the best bang for the buck out there, hands down.

@@CJColvin Poor marketing by GM. It was never meant to be a flagship car for GM. It was a fill-in while they were waiting for the Camaro to come out. Ford already had the Mustang and Dodge had the Charger. GM was a few years away from releasing the Camaro, so the brought over the Monaro because it had more HP than both Ford and Dodges base models. The downfall was they didn't want to over market it because it was running the same engine as the Corvette. My '06 had 400hp stock.
