I got a ‘24 Pilot Trailsport. Love it so far. I’m 6’5” and I’ve got plenty of room in there. The fuel mileage has been averaging right around 18 mpg, so not the best in that regard. I’ve used it to tow my camper, and it did that job pretty well. Big fan!

I don't know any SUV owners who actually tow anything or go off road. I drive a big SUV only because I like to sit up high and THAT'S IT. fuel economy sucks and so does parking.

Yea it's crazy how they do that, it's massive on the inside but on the outside it is almost compact for what it is

The rear end looks nice to me, and of course the front end redesign looks great. Overall, the vehicle has a nice style and posture. Wish it had better mpg, though. Would like to see how its value holds up over time.

On the market for a 3 row and narrowed my search to this Pilot Elite and Pathfinder Platinum. Which one would you pick?

I’m working on the Pilot vs Path vid soon, in that video I said the Pilot is the better vehicle however Pathfinder is still excellent and can be had at some excellent deals. Platinum Path is about $3k less expensive to begin with compared to Pilot Elite but Path can also be had for like 8-11% off msrp when you look on the leasehackr forum. The most discount you could hope to get on Pilot is like $2k off maybe $3k off on an Elite

Expect to pay at least 15k more for the tx. Just saw one at Lexus for 69k and that was the TX350 4 cylinder non hybrid

Your right on that steering, don’t like the feel of that… I like the Trailsport trim except you don’t get the Bose.. EX-L is good but if you add AWD, bucket seats, trail hitch, heated steering wheel your just about at Trailsport price…and that’s without the 360 cam and pano….might as well get Trailsport..and you don’t even get a moonroof

Yea Touring and Elite might be worth considering if you want more features, I’ve seen some $5k discounts being advertised so might be worth asking for

nearly all the other manufacturers come in this class with a few engine / Hybrid choices, big modern screens inside and Honda comes with older stuff. They only wants a lot of money for their Cars and thats why I don´t like Honda so much. Thanks Kevin.

In the 3 row segment at least in the States, only the Highlander and CX-90 are available with hybrids/plug in hybrid rest are turbo 4 or V6 like this. In other segments, almost every brand offers some form of eco turbo or hybrid options except mazda but you're right my friend, Honda asks for a lot of money and many owners have complained that these vehicles no longer have the long term durability they once had. It's about as disposable as any other new car so after warranty is done, dump it

Here in Europe we don´t have mark ups and if you want not the highest trim but the bigger Infotainment System or the better Sound System ? you pay a little bit more money and you can get it in the less trim modells.

That really depends on what you value my friend 4Runner is so much fun to drive, ton of character, engine sounds great, seating position is unique, has great resale, practical with plenty of storage and seating space. But the 4Runner is going to be louder inside both wind noise and tire noise, you will get maybe 2-3 mpg worse than a pilot, acceleration is not quite as smooth or as linear. Pilot is going to be quieter, slightly more fuel efficient, slightly bigger still, perhaps more comfortable seats, smoother ride and much more linear acceleration, and better audio system. However, the Pilot is going to be far more boring to drive, if parking inside a garage the pilot will take up more space, and you could argue not as cool as the 4Runner. There seems to be some pretty good discounts on both tho. If you get like a Limited 4Runner that would be your most refined and quiet version.

I drove the Trailsport trim and was blown away by how smooth/light the steering wheel and drive were. It drives high up like a truck with the smoothness of a luxury car. There was so much visibility with how big the windows are. Not to mention it drove over some road cracks and holes like nothing. I genuinely felt so safe driving the car knowing that it could handle bad weather and rough terrains like nothing. This will definitely be a good roadtrip/camping vehicle. The naturally aspirated V6 is amazing too! I know it won’t break down quickly like the turbocharged competitors. Finally, there were soooo many amenities for the price compared to its competitors. I still cannot stop thinking about this vehicle. Want to get it so badly.

Welcome back my friend! I’m not sure if you’ve seen the latest news regarding the current car market, used cars are a terrible purchase especially with catastrophically high interest rates not to mention many banks that won’t even provide financing on used cars. Used vehicles today have more mileage and are now several years older than pre pandemic market, yet go for the same price if not more than what it cost 3-4 years ago. A used car purchase today is not wise or recommended especially when financing where banks are front loading the interest so buyers are creating very little equity in their cars (that’s been going on forever) Also, I’ve always covered new cars my friend since the beginning, majority of my videos are new cars except now I’m showing people how to take several thousands of dollars off the MSRP of new cars and get the lowest interest rates possible to the point where new cars are the only cars that makes sense now especially with the discounts I’m showing. The 2022 Highlander looks the best. The 2024 Grand Highlander, pilot, Ford Explorer, etc look like wanna-be-Range Rovers.
