Join curators Stephan Wolohojian, Adam Eaker, David Pullins, and Anna-Claire Stinebring along with their special guests as they guide you through the newly reopened galleries dedicated to European Paintings from 1300 to 1800. The reconfigured galleries highlight fresh narratives and dialogues among more than 700 works of art from the Museum’s world-famous holdings, which include recently acquired paintings and prestigious loans, as well as select sculptures and decorative art, showcase the interconnectedness of cultures, materials, and moments across The Met collection.

I was really interested BUT the vocal frying was painful. I tried using speakers instead of earpods , but it was just too much distracting vocal clicks and croaks. In the end, I read the subtitles and listened to Vivaldi.

I agree. We swtched the sound off, and read the subtitles. The fast cutting at the beginning was also difficult to watch. We are not in the USA and will never get to the Met; they should realise these videos are more than just promos - which is what this felt like. We did not finish watching it - though have enjoyed others of their progs.

I was just wondering if the material is almost 300-700 years old. How come it doesn't break down? I understand the technology we have today, but what about the hundreds of years of not having the technology to help the material, including the wood and canvas the art is on.

It does break down. These are restored every 50 years or so by experts. Also the museums are climate controlled.

솔직히 문제집은 너무 많이 외워서. 관심 안가고..저분야에 종사하면 차라리 내꿈속 이미지를 그림으로 표현하면..거의 역사서나 콘스탄틴이나..공책 겉표지에나 어울릴만한 해리포터 크리스마스 엽서 디자인 수준 아티스틱하다..체력이 좋으면 다 기억할텐데..물건 파는척 하는 랄랄님에게는. 핑크 가죽 명품가방처럼..핑크 가죽 공예 신발 짝이 다 다른 색깔과 질감만 다른..짝이 없는 세 개의 핑크 구두 3개가 덩그러니 보여졌는데 꿈에서 깨버리는..그런 안데르센 동화책 같은 신발 이미지만..묘사해서..그림으로 남겨도..랄랄 님이 추구하는 약간 공주같지만 뭔가 이상하고 괴기스러운 동화적..느낌과 어울리는 그림이라 보관해도 좋을 듯 하다.

The notion that this political movement must interpret everything through 21st Century political pathology means we must reinterpret that which did not exist in the context it’s being used. “Colonization” is a political idea and not an artistic precept.
