From a childhood memory on his farm to finds at flea markets, Cave shares some of his inspirations from objects that he says provide an "impulse." Nick Cave is a huge inspiration for me. Such depth and beauty of each stitch is mesmerizing!

I saw Cave's exhibition at the Jones Center in Austin and it was a thing of beauty. Seeing him comment on his work and his life one cannot help but notice that he has a very distinctive cadence in his speech, "sort of." His collective background (artist, dancer and fashion designer) have brought him to a unique position among other creatives.

People fall into these nervous habits without noticing what is happening. It does "sort of" get very noticeable quickly.
