I had quit Exiles by this point, but it's nice to see Morph still in fine form. Great video, by the way. I wouldn't mind seeing more on the Exiles run.

This run began with issue #46. New writer. Falls apart at the end because he's forced to move stuff around for Claremont taking over which involves killing off half the characters and sending the other half away on buses. Power Princess has a real "I have to go now, my home planet needs me" exit. Like she's in one panel of the issue and that is all she says and then she's gone and never mentioned again.

xiles should have gone to the shadowline universe. why is shadow lass from the legion of superheroes in the exiles? that shape changing battle was genius.

I forgot about Morph in the cartoon. I just remembered AoA bringing him back. Mimic returned around then too right?

Mimic came back in Marvel Comics Presents but it wasn't really until the start of Exiles anyone noticed him.

Good issue, x-books can become joyless for years at a time and this one is fun. Is Emma in the new cartoon?

Why do you keep referring to them as the "Excellent Men"? And who is "Dr. X"? I've never heard of either of them. I know who the "X-Men" and "Professor X" are. I'm just saying.

Who is the "Umpossible Man"? It's "Impossible Man". Also, I don't remember an X-Men member who went by the name of "Thunderpath". Did you mean "Thunderbird"?

Have you never read a X-Cellent Mens comic, they are the mutie super-eroes led by Cyclist and feature Wolfman, Rouge, Steelman, Smurf and Emma Frosties. Don't like that Christopher Clarevoyant myself but I like Van Morrison's run from the early 2000s.

Good lord, some of my least favorite/most hated Marvel stuff is assembled here: Morph (can't stand try-hard "comic relief characters) who I hate almost as much as Plastic Man. Age of Apocalypse, which is easily one of the most over-rated and poorly utilized ideas, especially given that it was an obvious attempt to catch the same lightning in a bottle that "Days of Future Past" did. I've noticed that whenever people try to compete with another idea, theirs always turns out to be trash (or should I say "rubbish"?). And then there's the Impossible Man, who's really just an obvious rip-off of Mr. Misses Piglet (or however you pronounce his gibberish name), who I also have no love for whatsoever. And finally, Blink, who's basically just Pink Nightcrawler with breasts. I never understood her appeal, as she has such a contrived origin, and an utterly predictable character arc. I do happen to like The Controller, though, as I consider him one of Iron Man's good villains. Which is important as he has so few in his Rogue's Gallery. And Mimic, someone who was utilized way too little in previous X-Titles. So that's two points in this issue's favor...

You know, I was in agreement that Morph was annoying but over the course of 75 issues of Exiles I stopped hating him. It was the moment when Claremont had him killed off before he took over writing because he didn't want to write him and I felt angry that I realised that Morph had become quite sweet and sympathetic over all these tales.
