I found the puzzle very entertaining. It took my mind off of everyday problems. There were six parts of the picture that corresponded to different areas of the puzzles to lead you to a piece with a number on it. A lot of math was involved so brush up on your order of operations. But thank you for your review. Have a blessed day.

Love your stuff and your chemistry but have to disagree on this one. We really enjoyed this, firstly putting the jigsaw together and then the puzzles. We solved 5 of the 6 puzzles, struggled at first but then it all clicked which was very satisfying. Don't compare this to Exit or other escape room games, think of it more as a jigsaw puzzle with a few puzzles at the end. Definitively agree with you on those extra pieces, easy to identify and take them out, but why are they there in the first place??!?!?!!

It would have been cool if you could find one puzzle after you put all the pieces together and the answer of that puzzle would let you open a little package with some pieces that would replace a small part of the big puzzle and reveal the next puzzle to solve.

I'm working on the puzzle bit, and getting frustrated that every edge piece fits with every other edge piece! I've had to measure to figure out where my mistakes could be. This sounds like a dumb problem, but no one here has mentioned that there are MANY differences from the box art to the puzzle art. I thought the coded bits would just be different. So trying to figure out where you went wrong is difficult. Now that I hear that the codes are frustrating too? yikes

I just completed one of this Exit Puzzles (different pic). You have to use the qr code in the "book" that comes with the puzzle.. there you will find the questions and clues, and answars 😊 I figured that much out, but it still did'nt make any scence to me.. it was all about finding numbers and putting them together.. i don't get the Exit part 🙄

Thank you for this review. I was hoping for something better same as you guys. The QR code link to the hints helped but not that much. It was very disjointed and I wouldn’t recommend it either. I was hoping it was an escape puzzle but it was more like a code puzzle and not a clear one at that.

Is it possible that the extra pieces indicate that perhaps some of the jigsaw pieces can be fitted together in a different arrangement than the box art to reveal something?

I did my first jigsaw puzzle 300 piece the other day, it was a lot of fun, took me awhile and not very hard. I have this 759 piece coming tomorrow, and another 500 piece next Wed. Will the 759 be too difficult for me? can't wait to start it lol. I watched until half way of your video until you said spoiler, will finish watching after the puzzle. Thanks for making the video

I actually had another one of these a while ago. To me it wasn't that bad, though not good by any means. I had the magic kitchen one. The jigsaw puzzle was... a jigsaw puzzle. From the (seven or so?) puzzles on there, all but two were ok and those two really frustrating as they were too close together and looked like a single one. Seemed to me like a neat idea badly executed. What I missed the most was some at least half-way decent fluff text around it and some connecting dots between the riddles.

So I've technically not completed this yet (the puzzle is complete, but haven't had time to figure out the hidden bits), but I've still enjoyed what I've done so far. I also like putting puzzles together, so that probably needs to be factored in, so having something else to do once you're done is a bonus. I'm not one who really needs much theming in these sorts of puzzles (and I didn't even remember there was some sort of story around it). Now once I've actually done the puzzles, perhaps there won't be much of a payoff, and if so, then I'll adjust my opinion - which could be unfortunate since I've already bought more of them... Sorry y'all were disappointed, though :(

@jonathanhowe42
@jonathanhowe42 5 жыл бұрын
@@ThisGameisBroken So I finally finished this, and brilliance is certainly not what I would apply here. Now, if the ending had a better "creation", if you will, that might have been cool, but the payoff was very wanting (especially for gamers). I'll have to see how the others in the series go to know if those are more worth the time, or if it's just a variation on a theme. At best, this could a "gateway game" of sorts that a gamer could use to introduce puzzle/escape games to folks. So it has its small merits, but for gamers this one was lacking in that department.

Hi guys, I have a general question about escape room games for you that you are perhaps almost uniquely able to answer ;-) So far, I have only played Exit and Unlock in French and, well, it just didn't quite work. It's the whole second language thing, the theme doesn't come over for me most of tje time I play a game in French due to all the extra cognitive load that I have but on top of that I just missed a lot of the wordplay in the games. So, to get to the point, do you guys notice a difference between playing in English and Dutch? Is it also harder for you to play in a second language? One day, I will write a blog post about playing boardgames in a second language and how much it changes things, one day...

Emma Edwards It is definitely easier to play these type of games In Your native language. Wordplay, slang and proverbs will slip by. Or how about playing a german game in the Netherlands, and getting a phone number to call. Stuff do not always work across country lines. And sometimes something else slips in: I do not always trust the translation. Just like game rules, translated in haste, or plain bad, will give unsatisfactory results. In the end some games work perfectly and some will fall flat. Keep note of what you like and follow reviews of people you trust. That’s what I do :-)

From start to finish you repeat in different ways that you are disappointed. You failed to deduce the questions from numbers on the finished jigsaw. But you provide no explanation why this is the fault of the makers. Then you suggest to make it more like exit box products. Thanks for wasting my time.

7/27/2022: Why didn't I find your review before purchasing this mess of a puzzle yesterday?! I was excited for my 1st attempt at one of these puzzles because I thought there would be clues given to build sections of the puzzle or some unique twist. You definitely need great lighting because of the dark colors. Annoying that the the pieces fit in multiple spots. Scratching my head on the rhyme or reason for the numbers...should they be assembled in sequence? Do I have to perform math problems to get the true fit? Just why?! Don't even start me on the nonsense of the Square and angle pieces-I thought they somehow would be integrated into the puzzle, no, you just discard them...why are they in the box then...what's wrong with the production that these pieces aren't automatically discarded? Boxed up so fast to donate to let someone else search for the fun with this puzzle. Definitely a waste.

Hmmmm , quick cash grab gimmick to take advantage of the "escape room" game trend? Very disappointing, i was actually interested in this for my mum or friend who like puzzles, but not really anything unique or different enough to have them waste their time. Seems like Ravensburger could have used their creativity and actually came up with something good and unique. I know what they are doing, they put out a simple fake game and then wait for all the people to discuss all kinds of better ideas in comments sections like here, then Ravensburger developers read through and "borrow" all the great ideas from everyone and then sometime in a few months they start implementing the creative designs into some new versions. Lol
