These are trails I love doing, albeit more so in spring (when it's nice and lush) before the crowds descend & the reserved times are required. I hope they do manage the trail maintenance at some point - there seemed to be a lot of fallen trees on the north beach trail on my last visit, though they'd carved through that. It's been a few weeks since my last visit, and the Gold Creek road access was still blocked off for repairs after a winter storm. I've yet to see anyone there working on it, so when it's fixed is anyone's guess.

Gold Creek access was still blocked off while we were there. Hoping they get it open again soon, but thinking they must need a retaining wall for the collapsed section of road. If it were a straight forward repipe and fill it could have been done already.

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop The side benefit of this is Gold Creek isn't as busy as when you can just drive up lol.

Wonderful to see Golden Ears again. I'd be up there several times a year when I was living in Abbotsford. That was way back in 1985-90, and didn't have problems with crowds back then and never had to make reservations. Love those falls trail!! Things are a little different with some better bridges for sure! Love it!!

No way! The traffic in this park has increased exponentially. I'm glad they are limiting traffic as it will help limit impact on the natural spaces. Makes it a bit inconvenient though to go on a spur of the moment day trip.

@@StarLitShow Thanks for your support! KZbin is a tough game and to get views you need to be one of a few huge channels or have something that happens to go viral. I just like documenting these places and am glad a few people enjoy watching :)

Great video! Haven't been out to Golden Ears in too long. The north shore trails can become somewhat convoluted at times with all the rugged nature! Possibly heading to Lynn Valley this weekend if it isn't too soggy ...

What is the wildlife on those trails should I carry bear spray or be concerned
@ExitThrutheGiftShop6 ай бұрын
@@Genesis_1112 I'm sure there are bears around like most trails. Just keep your head up, wear a bear bell and take spray if it makes you feel more comfortable. There are bear boxes for food storage if you're staying overnight.
